….Hannah Gave Shiloh Prominence – Akinsola
It was indeed a life changing encounter with God of Hannah as St. Theresa Church Of Christ Cherubim And Seraphim on Tuesday held her annual Shiloh Festival. The programme which witnessed the presence of both C&S and non C&S members had the church auditorium filled to the brim.
There is no gain saying the fact also that the attendees who apparently came with series of expectations left the venue fulfilled following the impartation that was evident in every section of the programme.
This was as well engendered by the powerful ministration by the guest ministers led by Special Apostle Taiwo Akinsola, otherwise known as “Omo Baba Woli ni Ilasa.
In his exhortation, Akinsola spoke in reminiscent of the days of Hannah and her travails as a barren woman in the scripture. While this commands a rapt attention on the part of the members, the cleric also identified certain characteristics that eventually changed her story from a barren woman to a fruitful mother.
While imploring the attendees to imitate the said characteristics responsible for Hannah’s change of story, Akinsola who cited the book of 1Samuel chapter 1, urged them not to permit their problem to take away God’s promises from them as God’s promises do not fail.
He also admonished them not to accept alternatives but rather allow what they are passing through take them to prayers.
While citing the instance of Hannah making a vow in the course of her request at Shiloh, the cleric in his exhortation urged the attendees not to hesitate doing such. He also stated that they should not allow what they are passing through affect their character.
The cleric who is the G.O of Alpha Et Omega Church of Christ Aladura Worldwide, stressed that the need to obey God and one’s prophet is of utmost importance as in the case of Hannah and Eli. He however advised on the need to go back to where one had once failed in order to prove the eventual divine intervention of God in one’s life like Hannah did. He rounded up as he harped on the need to pay whatsoever vow has been made in the course of one’s request from God.
St. Theresa was founded exactly 30 years ago, but the Provost, Prophet Captain David Shitta disclosed that the Shiloh festival service started just about 13 years ago.
According to him, the service started following an instruction from God that he should put up a spiritual gathering called Shiloh. “God said we should come together that he wants to answer us. He also asked us to hold it on Tuesday by 9 am, as you know most Shiloh service holds on Wednesday.” He said.
He however apreciated God for giving him the priviledge to witness yet another edition of the programme.
“I thank God for giving me the grace to be a partaker of this year’s edition and the grace to bring people together to experience it. Shiloh is all about celebrating God. To let the world know that there is a God somewhere that answers prayers.” He asserted.
Aduke Gold, Adelakun, Paul Tao minister
The high point of the programme was when the trio of Pastor Joseph Adelakun, Evangelist Aduke Gold and Paul Tao El-Shaddai dazzled the congregation with their ministrations. Unlike the two others, Paul Tao; a one time band member of renowned juju singer turned clergy, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey, displayed his unique skills with the guiter while he dished out tunes in reverence of God. Adelakun on his part held the congregation spell bound with his popular tracks such as Obanla, Wabami gberu mi and Olorun Igbala. The tracks got the congregation singing along prophetically. Meanwhile, like she was all they have been expecting to mount the podium, Seraph Gospel artiste, Aduke Gold, did not just meet their expectations with her style of music but rather took them to another realm where they explore every possible dance steps as she reel her gospel tunes. It is noteworthy that Queen Gloria had earlier ministered during the provost’s brief speech.
This year’s Shiloh festival was well attended, just as the guest ministers appraised the efforts of the provost and his team having successfully put up such a memorable programme. (SEE PHOTOS BELOW)
