Seraph Oluwasogo Abraham
The city of Erin-ile in Kwara state received a mammoth crowd of Seraphs and non Seraphs from far and near last week, as they converged to witness the 72 hours of intercessory programme. Pastor Abraham Adebayo headlines this annual prayer with this year’s edition tagged By My Spirit. The 2021 edition of the 4-day spiritual gathering which held under the auspices of Grace For All Men International witnessed the influx of many men of God from within and outside the Seraphim fold. Among those in attendance were Pastor Segun Michael, Pastor Gabriel Karounwi, Pastor Cherub Obadare, Revd Tolu Agboola and many others. As expected, there was a strong of God’s presence, as those who were present at the program could not stop talking about it. Although the 2021 edition has come and gone. However, it had a significant impact on the lives of those who were in attendance and those that followed online. Here are five takeaways from the program:
THE WORD AND PRAYER SESSIONS WERE PREMIUM
One of the things those in attendance will not forget in a rush about the 2021 edition of 72 hours are the word and prayer sessions. For obvious reasons, these were expected. An intense word and prayer session is what you get when you have the likes of Pastor Abraham Adebayo, PSM, Pastor Cherub Obadare mount the pulpit. With the theme By My Spirit [Zechariah 4:6], each men of God pitched their tent on the topic and dwelt more on the importance of the spirit of God in the life of Seraphs. Pastor Segun Michael explained that the Cherubim and Seraphim fold is fast coming into the reality of its existence as orchestrated by God. It is a nondenominational gathering of believers. He added that the 72 hours of intercessory prayer gathering is a sign that the essence of the church is fast becoming a reality. For the records, the 72 hours intercessory prayer is a gathering of believers who earnestly crave the move of God mightily in their lives. Although it is headlined by a Seraph ( Pastor Abraham Adebayo) but its mission spans across within and outside the Seraphim fold. This gathering constantly witnesses the presence of God’s children from a different denomination. It is right to call it the melting point of all denominations, a gathering of Christians where denomination doesn’t exist [ Ephesians 4:5 ].
THE MEDIA TEAM WERE UP TO PAR
It is hard to tell the difference between a person who was physically present at the program and those that relied on the live stream. The media team did an amazing job from the beginning of the program to the end of it. Thousands of believers who were unable to make it down to Erin-ile Kwara could witness and experience the move of God from their phones. There were visual excerpts from the word session by each minister. These will be archived for those who were present physically and those who were not; it is made available for everyone. Also, nothing escapes the lens of their camera. Picture excerpts from an intense moment during the program were seen floating the internet, making those who joined online wished they were present physically at the program. This has undoubtedly helped create a type of savour that will boost the attendance of people in the next edition of 72 the intercessory programme.
THE CHORISTERS
What is a prayer program without a good worship session? What is a revival without our indigenous Seraphic ‘ariya’? This is where the choristers came to save the day. They were not left behind as they ensured that everyone present in the program and those that joined online was launched into powerful worship during each ministration.
THE YOUTHFUL POPULATION
The hunger of the youths for spiritual things is never satisfied. They keep wanting more touch and more mighty moves of the Holy Spirit. Truly, the land of Erin-ile received lots of worshippers last week. However, the vast population of people present at the prayer program were youths. Expectedly, a gathering with youthful majority doesn’t experience any dull moment both physically and spiritually. Their dance, chants and apostolic roar during every prayer session was a force to reckon with. Indeed, the scripture was not mistaken when it said the glory of the youths is in their strength.
THE REVIVAL
Without having to mince words, the much talked about revival in the C&S church is here. As God continue to raise the custodians across board, the 72hrs programme has proved to be one of the existing platforms they are springing up from. This year’s edition as well lend credence to this fact. Meanwhile, the world better prepares for the emergence of great armies who will have and multiply the nature of God. Conclusively, all glory to God that each person never returned the same way they came. We desire that we keep burning till the glorious day.
