Glorious Morning Star To Celebrate 32nd Annual Adoption Anniversary

All is set as Glorious Morning Star Cherubim & Seraphim Agbo Jesu holds her 32nd annual adoption thanksgiving anniversary.

The service which is scheduled to hold on Sunday, October 18, 2020, by 12pm EST, is with the theme: “Be thou Exalted O God”, as culled from Psalm 57vs5.

The Glorious morning star, situated at Saratoga Avenue, Brooklyn New York, is the headquarters of C&S Agbojesu US/Canada sub-conference.
Also to precede the programme is a youth praise night musical concert, slated for Friday by 8pm EST.

Speaking on this year’s anniversary, the elder in charge, Snr. Supt, Apo. Francis Okhiria, said it is an avenue to praise God and exalt him for His grace and mercies which abound since the previous edition.

He also described the theme as a coincidence, going by the coronavirus pandemic which struck the entire world this year.

According to him, the church will sieze the opportunity to praise God for preserving every member both home and abroad.

Elder Okihiria who doubles as the chairman of the sub conference says, “this year’s anniversary will be exclusively in-house with no invitation extended to outsiders. The numbers of attendees will also be limited due to the Covid-19 guidelines by the New York City department of health.”

Glorious Morning Star was established in 1985 as a prayer group, after which it started as a church in 1988. It later got incorporated in 1990 by the state of New York as a non profit religious organisation. All along as of the time, the church strictly followed the doctrines of the Eternal Sacred Order, without affiliation with any C&S fold in Nigeria.

In October 1996, the church officially joined C&S Agbojesu under the leadership of His Eminence late Baba Aladura Elijah Abodunrin (Agbojesu Magboyinbo III).

From that time, the church was designated as the headquarters for C&S Agbojesu in diaspora.

Meanwhile, the sub-conference currently has 11 branches. The churches also have the same mode of service, just as they remain autonomous in their operations.

The anniversary will be streamed live on the church’s Facebook platform and that Agbojesu sub-conference. It will also be streamed live on Acts of Seraphs by 5pm Nigerian time.
