The supreme head of Cherubim and Seraphim Agbojesu worldwide, His Eminence Samuel Olusegun Ajayi Akintobi, Arojibikah II, has expressed gratitude to God for protecting the pilgrims that attended the just concluded Agelu Jerusalem convention against kidnapping.
This year’s pilgrimage tagged: In Thy Presence (Psalm 16:11) started on Sunday, July 24, and came to a close on Wednesday, July 27. The convention is also known for attracting members and non-members of Agbojesu from across the country and overseas.
Addressing a multitude of adherents on the last day of the programme, the cleric said he had told God to keep kidnappers away from the pilgrims.
He said, “I am grateful to God for bringing you all safely to this place. People have been panicking over recurring kidnappings in the country. And I said if truly the God of my fathers put me here, nothing will happen. And I thank God for keeping you all safe.”
The cleric who showed his appreciation in songs, also prayed for everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
