Media mogul and publisher of Ovation Magazine, Chief Dele Momodu, has recalled with nostalgia how reactions trailed a picture of him wearing a white garment when it surfaced on the internet for the first time.
This was made this known in a post via his Instagram handle, lately.
According to him, the picture, where he could be seen posing with Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi, elicited series of comments querying his relationship with the white garment church.
“I remember the day I first released this picture from inside Iya Adura’s most beautiful Love Of Christ Generation Church London, all hell broke lose! “What are are you doing in white garment?” Oun oju mi ri, oun eti mi gbo, ko see fenu so! The things I heard are better left unsaid! Today, I’m happy I followed my instinct. Why do we pull innocent people down for the fun of it?” He wrote.
Meanwhile, popular female comedian, Helen Paul, who apparently had similar experience also reacted to the post, as she wrote, “Same here. But thank God”.
Momodu, who turned 60 on May 16, was one of the speakers at the maiden Seraph Media Summit which held last year at Seraphim Land. This was where he said seraphs must go all out to be proud ambassador of the church.
While also confirming at the summit that the church has gone beyond the conservative level to the point where it now has a strong presence on social media, he stated that it is a development every seraph must embrace.
It is worth to note that the renowned publisher grew up from childhood as a seraph.
