Open letter to Central Executive Committee (CEC) of C&S Unification
Campus Fellowship.
Dear sirs/mas,
I see no better day to write this letter than today because my letter centres around your decision to limit the level in which a sister can reach in campus leadership ladder.
It is obvious that sisters can’t be made Secretary, Vice president and they can’t be President, this to me is a serious issue of concern.
My inquisition to know why it is so, some years back, shows that there is a revelation that prevent sisters from attaining such position, i can’t but ask myself all these years, which god are they talking about? The God of bible who created all equal or the god of Jew who didn’t allow women to have a say among men?
Celebrating International Women’s day today, i find it hard to join anyone in doing same because what do i need to celebrate? People we have encaged and placed limitation on? Or people that didn’t have opportunity to lead?
Allow me to call on all past and present leaders of this fold to kindly examine their stands and position as relating to position a woman can occupy within the fellowship.
It is time to allow God to use anyone no matter their gender, colour or tribe.
