The Supreme Head of Cherubim and Seraphim Agbojesu Conference, His Eminence Baba Aladura Olusegun Ajayi Akintobi – Arobijika II, has warned members practicing strange doctrines that have no root in Jesus Christ to desist from doing so.
He said this while declaring the 2023 Agbojesu annual general conference open on Thursday at C&S Ifelodun, Mount Zion, Abeoukuta, Ogun State.
He said, “No member of Agbojesu Conference should be found practicing any strange doctrine or what the founder of the conference did not practice when he was alive. He followed Christ all through and we did not find any flaws in him before he transitioned. I hereby enjoin all members of Agbojesu to follow these steps wholeheartedly.”
The three-day conference, with the theme, “Rest on the Lord (Isa 26:3)” attracts delegates from all over the world.
Speaking earlier, the General Secretary of the Conference, Snr. Supt Apostle Segun Okeseni, said this year’s meeting would ensure that every member of Agbojesu stands firm in Christ.
He said, “We have some people who only identify as members of Agbojesu, but they do not have an encounter with Christ. Even Jesus said we should abide in him and he will abide in us, because anyone who is not in Christ cannot claim to be one of his followers. And Baba Aladura does not wish to see any member not following Christ. He wants us to identify with the significance of the name of the founder – Agbojesu. This was what inspired the theme of this year’s conference.”
The head of Agbojesu media team, Pastor Segun Iyiola, in a statement earlier made available to Acts of Seraphs, said the gathering would evaluate the progress of Agbojesu Conference.
He said, “The conference is where we evaluate our progress as a fold every year and chart a course on the way forward. It is also an avenue to initiate new reforms that align with the mandate of the church.”
“This year’s conference will also embrace some form of virtual conferencing to accommodate conferees from across the world.”
He added that the meeting would feature a retreat for arms of the conference, including all leaders of the churches in the fold.
