Baba Alao to lead first Holy Michael Day joint procession in Lagos

In an historic move aimed at fostering unity among members, the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church will on Saturday, September 29, hold a joint service to commemorate the annual Holy Michael Day celebration.

The joint service which is the first of its kind will be held across the states where Seraphs at all levels of the church will converge on a location to observe the celebration.

In Lagos State, the Supreme Head of the church, His Most Eminence Prophet (Dr) Solomon Adegboyega Alao, will lead a procession from the National Stadium en route to Ogunlana Drive, Funsho Williams Avenue, Ojuelegba and Western Avenue before returning to the stadium.

The chairmen of other states will also lead their members to observe the celebration at their respective points of convergence.

Speaking at this year’s Seraphim Day celebration held at Seraphim Land, the supreme head said the new pattern of celebration was initiated by the National Ecclesiastical Council.

He said, “Your encouragement has propelled the Ecclesiastical Council to unanimously decide on a joint Holy Michael celebration at all states of the federation particularly in Lagos State. The maiden edition of this celebration will hold at all levels.

“We also want to take Lagos by storm and let everybody know that C&S had indeed arrived. Your physical presence will more than ever reaffirm our theme, “Pull Down the Barriers of our 2019 General Conference.”

The chairman committee of the joint celebration, Elder Albert Apanisile, urged the attendees to ensure their prayer gown is strictly white, while they may use a red girdle if they wish to.

He also encouraged members to turn out en mass for the meeting, adding that free buses that would convey them from some designated locations across the state had been made available by Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi.
