BEING THE ADDRESS OF THE SUPREME HEAD,
CHERUBIM & SERAPHIM UNIFICATION CHURCH OF NIGERIA,
HIS MOST EMINENCE PROPHET DR. SOLOMON ADEGBOYEGA ALAO DURING HIS COURTESY VISIT TO
HIS EXCELLENCY MUHAMMADU BUHARI (GCFR),
PRESIDENT AND COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF,
FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA
ON FRIDAY 4TH JANUARY 2019
Protocol
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith, we greet you, Mr. President and pray God to grant you good health, peace of mind and wisdom to continue to govern this country with the fear of God.
Introduction
Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria is an umbrella body of all
Cherubim & Seraphim Churches founded in Nigeria and in the Diaspora. Founded in 1925 and widely known for evangelism, prayer and raising good and patriotic citizens with ultimate ambition to make the kingdom of God. We have members in almost all the continents of the world, and specifically in all the 36 States of the Federation and Abuja. Our easy identity is our white garment which symbolizes holiness and purity.
For over six decades, our Church has partnered with several State governments in providing access to quality education and primary health care through our various primary/secondary schools and clinics. Our proposed University, Moses Orimolade University (MOU), Omu-Aran, Kwara State, named after our founder, is set to take-off later this year to support the nation in bridging the gap in access to quality tertiary education. It is our hope and prayers that His Excellency will attend the graduation of our first set of students in 2023.
Why we are here
- To congratulate His Excellency (HE) on his 76th birthday and wish him continued good health and inward happiness.
- To advise HE in our capacity as a praying organization and prophets, to avoid the tempting circumstances to overstretch himself, as Nigeria needs him to complete the good things he had started.
- To appreciate the works and feats performed thus far and to assure HE of our continued prayer and support, especially on his anti-corruption stance. We anticipate that corruption which is killing Nigeria may fight back, but HE will prevail because the majority of Nigerians are with you.
- To thank HE for checkmating the Boko Haram insurgency and make a passionate appeal to you to use your good offices to sooner than expected secure the freedom of the Nigerian girl, Sharibu Leah who was seen by some as being held by her abductors on the grounds of her faith. It would be a New Year gift to all Nigerians if Mr. President is able to achieve this.
- To appeal to Mr. President to give a second thought to the unabated clamour for restructuring the country along the basics bequeathed to us by the Nigerian founding fathers, the trio of Sir. Ahmadu Bello, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Chief Obafemi Awolowo, so that we could once again have a true federalism (formerly Regional Federalism). This implies devolution of more powers to the States and reduction of the competition for the centre with the attendant consequences, and return the country to the basics before the intervention of the military in 1966. Posterity will never forget Mr. President if you put the necessary machinery in motion in that direction within 18months of your second coming, as we pray for your success in the forthcoming elections.
- To appeal to His Excellency to ensure that the INEC enjoys complete independence to give us free, fair and credible elections, such that the losers will have no reasons to challenge the results. Such credible results would vindicate Mr. President‘s victory at the 2015 polls.
- Finally, I wish to seize this unique opportunity to invite Mr. President to the 2019 Annual General Conference of our Church holding in Lagos from January 31st to February 3, 2019. We shall be glad to receive His Excellency at the opening ceremony.
I thank you most sincerely sir for granting us audience.
Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
His Most Eminence Prophet Dr. Solomon Adegboyega Alao
