The spiritual father of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, His Grace Baba Aladura (Prophet) Adefila Abidoye has advised Christians to be realistic and truthful in their dealings.
The clergyman made this known in his speech during the official opening ceremony of the 2023 International Choir Convention of the church at its International headquarters, Galilee Land, Orile-Igbon, Oyo State.
He pointed out that honesty attracts resentment but urged the believers to be ready.
“If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember what you said before and if you want to be trusted, be honest. Being honest may not get you a lot of friends but it will get you the right one.
“Be ready to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not,” he added.
The centenarian also urged members of the church to endeavour to leave a good legacy.
“Please endeavour to leave a good legacy that must positively impact the lives of others”.
He however used the opportunity to single out the chairman of the choir board for commendation for his contribution towards the growth of the choir.
