As the much anticipated Celebrate the Comforter 2019 is set to shake Lagos to its foundation, the host, Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi has ordered the proscription of sales of alcohol at the venue of the programme.
Without having to state the obvious, vendors of alcoholic drinks which come in varieties often secure space at such gathering without recourse to its spiritual nature, as they take to making use of such medium to make brisk business.
But the Chief PRO of the C&S church, Superintendent Apostle Muyiwa Adeyemi JP, in a chat with Acts of Seraphs quoted the female cleric, whom he accompanied to inspect the venue of the programme on Friday, as saying that measures have been put in place to enforce the order.
According to him, Iya Adura as she is fondly called frowned at what she perceived as not worth seeing around the vicinity of the programme.
Expected to hold later this evening at Tafawa Balewa, the programme will witness the presence of no fewer than 180, 000 attendees drawn from across the world.
Buses conveying the attendees are equally moving in droves to the venue as we report.
