Cherubim And Seraphim By Akinyebi Grace

CHERUBIM
The first place we ever saw the Use of Cherubim in the Bible was when man fell and He was sent out of Eden, Genesis 3:24 “So he (God) drove man; and he placed at the east of The garden of Eden Cherubs/Cherubim and a Flamming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. After man disobeyed God and was sent out of Eden, God had to place Strict Beings to Watch over the tree, he has to set beings who obeys orders, In simple terms, he has to place A no-Sense type so as to Guard the tree in other to restrict access to the tree. It will be seen that the Cherubs are not Burned by the Flamming sword, that is to tell us they are strong, Supernatural creatures. In the Bible, the Book of Ezekiel gave description of Beings which happened to be Cherubim, which he saw in a vision, and their appearance was the same for all the four he saw. They all had one likeness, Cherubs have Four Faces and Four wings(Ezekiel 1:6, 10:14) Cherubim have Hands of men Under their Wings and their Wings are joined together, they are creatures of Principles ( They went wheresoever the Spirit go: Ezekiel 1: 20) The cherubim serve the purpose of magnifying the holiness and power of God. This is one of their main responsibilities throughout the Bible. In addition to praising God, they also serve as a visible reminder of the majesty and glory of God and His abiding presence with His people.

SERAPHIM
In Isaiah Chapter 6, we can clearly see the Creatures called Seraphim. These Creatures are so sweet to behold, they have six wings each and Cover their faces with two, they cover their Feet with two and Fly with two. This same place in the bible made us know that the standing place of Seraphim is above the throne of God, and their duty is to sing praises to the King seated on the throne. They Cry unto themselves Exalting God in his Holiness, they have a strong voice that is enough to shake the posts of the door, and at their declaration the Temple, The most Holy Place was filled with smoke. Seraphs are beings that bring perfection, Isaiah 1: 6 says ” One of the Seraphim flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he has taken with tongs from the Altar and touched my Lips with it and said Thine Iniquity is taken away and thy sin is Purged.

As a peculiar Church, we have been named after Special Creatures, We are to follow their characteristics. The Cherubim and Seraphim Church is Ordained by The Creator of the Universe himself, We are to show forth the Majesty of our Father in Heaven like the Cherubs and also sing beautiful praises to him like the Seraphs. The Church is unique in all ways, the Hymns of the C&S Church are inspirational, the Doctrines are Sacred, And the Foundation is on the truth which is JESUS CHRIST. The Church as the First Indigenous Church in Africa can be called one that received Grace because it was blessed with various Spiritual gifts, when other denominations barely started speaking in tongues, Our Great C&S has started Interpretation of Tongues. I implore all Members of this great Church, not to be relegated in the Body of Christ, we need to be more disciplined in our Christian Race, Jesus is the Head of the Church, he should be our Standard, Our acts should be traceable to the Holy spirit, we should do away with Some barbaric Acts so that our Light will so Shine before men, and they will see our good works and give glory to our father in Heaven (Matthew 5:16.
