…Mother Ajayi is our role model
Women in the Cherubim and Seraphim Church have been commended for consistently contributing to the physical and spiritual growth of the church.
The appraisal was in commemoration of this year’s International Women’s Day observed on Sunday, March 8, 2020.
In a chat with this platform, wife of the Chief PRO of the church, Mother in Israel Grace Adeyemi, says female brethren are breaking their fallow grounds, gradually, just as they are becoming relevant by playing active roles in the church.
According to her, this was not the case in time past when women’s voice could barely be heard, especially in the place of leadership.
She said, “We are actually coming out of our shell to become more relevant in the church compared to our hitherto timid disposition to taking leadership role in the church. There is no doubting the fact that we have more women in the church not only in the C & S than men. But until now, u can not hear their voice in the church, many were talented to preach the words or envangelise but they were not given the chance but that is changing gradually. I am not saying women should contest the leadership of the church with our fathers and husbands but they should allow them to use their God-given talents.
“We thank God that things are changing now because the world is now recognising excellence instead of chauvinism. And we have to thank our Mother, the Esther of our time, Reverend Mother (Dr) Esther Abimbola Ajayi who God has been using to let the world know about what women are capable to do. She is indeed our role model and classic example of abundant of talents, compassion, philanthropy God endowed in women folk”.
She also admonished the women on the need to promote love among themselves, as they must let the society know that they are actually one in the body of Christ.
While quoting, (2Chorithians 3v2), she said being a function of their burning desire and passion for the body of Christ, she wants Seraph women to use themselves as perfect example to bring many into the Christendom by their character, attitude and genuine love to fellow human beings.
Mother Adeyemi who emerged as a distinguished Seraph at the AEGIS award held in 2019, however, advised the women to always allow the Holy Spirit to take charge at every point of their decision.
She said, “In decision taking, we should allow Holy Spirit to take charge, reason together in one accord, appreciate every opinion by respecting every good idea.”
“Even the bad ones should be appreciated as well and arrive at an acceptable conclusion. We must listen very well and do not talk without having good understanding of issues as mothers”, she added.
