Youths of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Akure circuit gathered from the nooks and crannies of Akure town and Ondo State for its annual retreat.
The year 2019 edition, held at the circuit’s No 2 chapter, Ondo Road, Akure, had the theme; The Appointed Time, taken from the book of Habakkuk chapter 2 verse 3.
The three days programme which commenced on Friday 26th July, 2019 was declared open in the evening by Special Apostle Odusanya; the Akure circuit chairman, and followed by revival programme where the congregation prayed their ways out.
Saturday 27th was notable with the lecture on Appointed Time delivered by Prophet Cherub Obadare of Spirit Life C&S Church, Ibadan; where he implored the youths to always wait for God’s time and never compete with anyone saying God has an appointed time for everyone and everything.
The Thanksgiving service of the retreat was held on Sunday 28th July, 2019, where notable personalities from the elder’s forum of the church were present.
In his sermon, Special Apostle Pastor Adebiyi admonished the congregation to always remember that God has an appointed time for them.
The executives of the youth who have been serving since January 2016, with the president being Brother Adegboyega Adeola and assistant secretary; Sister Folukemi Adewumi-Ariyibi handed over to new ones, with the president being Brother Oluwatosin Adewole and the secretary; Sister Omolola Orunmoluyi.
Other highlights of the programme are seraphic praise, prayers, high praise, skills acquisition and presentation of certificates and awards to ex-officios and the executives just handing over.
