The Conference Supervising Prophet of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Worldwide, Prophet J. O. Adeniran has made his first official outing as the new leader of the Council of Prophets.
Prophet Adeniran who assumed the position on July 26, 2023, attended the 50th Anniversary of the Daniel Band Grand Award Ceremony held on Sunday at the C&S Movement Church, Surulere District Headquarters, Lagos State.
In his address, elder Adeniran appreciated God for selecting him out of many to be the Conference Supervising Prophet, while also pointing out it did not occur to him to assume the position.
He said, “God bless you for giving me the grace to be a part of this program. I know you have been planning this program even before my appointment as Conference Supervising Prophet and for bringing me in within this short period. It shall be on record that this is my first outing station outside Galilee land.
“I must firstly felicitate and congratulate the leadership of Surulere District Headquarters and the entire members of Daniel band of this great church on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary. Standing before you all as the Chairman of this graceful Golden Jubilee Celebration marks a remarkable milestone. It is an honour to stand before you all on this momentous occasion which is surrounded by the Spirit of peace, unity, devotion and faith which has guided us through five decades of prayer and prophecy. I cannot but say congratulations to you all.”
He therefore encouraged the Daniel Band members to extend their vision beyond the scope of their local communities and engage the body of Christ at the international level.
“The C&S Movement Church is an entity and we are a part of a family of believers united by God’s purpose. Our duty is to build and strengthen this body to transcend the geographical border. I urge us all to embrace this opportunity to connect, collaborate and share our gift with the world so that it may imbibe the kingdom of God.
“Let us not limit ourselves to the confines of our local communities, the time has come for us to expand our horizons and participate more actively on the international scene. Let us expand our vision and now quickly engage with our global family, recognizing we are all one in Christ according to 1 Corinthians 12: 12-27”, he remarked.
According to the clergyman, Daniel Band is a legacy from the founding fathers which is not without responsibilities.
“The legacy you have received is of great strength and resilience, and today we honour the foundation that has been laid by our fathers; those alive and those who have gone to be with the Lord. Of such great icons are Prophet Gabriel Olubunmi Falaye of blessed memory, the first Conference Supervising Prophet, Prophet Elijah Olawale Akindele, Prophet Ajigbotosho, Prophet Peter Agboola Oyinloye, to mention a few.
“The mantle that was passed down to us carries the weight of responsibilities, a sacred duty to continue the noble work that was begun by those who came before us. Just as they stood firm in their conviction, we too must carry on their legacies, walking in their footsteps and nurturing the grace of faith that burns within us”, he explained.
He encouraged the band not to neglect the core missions of the band which are prayer, prophet and Unity.
“I implore everyone of us to rededicate ourselves to the mission that has brought us together. The mission of Prayer, the mission of prophecy and the mission of Unity. Let us stand shoulder to shoulder, hand to hand as we carry forward the thoughts of the forefathers and the ministry of Jesus,” he concluded.
