CSMC Taraba Holds End-of-Year Sunday School Exam, Rewards Participants

The Sunday School unit of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church No.1 Jalingo, Taraba State, on Sunday rewarded Seraphs who emerged with outstanding grades in its annual end-of-year examination.

This is as Sister Deborah Ogundeko was declared winner of this year’s exercise, as she was gifted with a bag of rice.

The examination questions were generated from the topic of the church’s Sunday school manual which spanned the whole of year 2020.

The exercise which was monitored by the coordinator of the unit, M/S/A Collins Awosika, with other Sunday school teachers also saw Sister Adesewa Alao emerged the 1st runner up with 40 points, while Sister Omowunmi Adedoyin emerged the 2nd runner up with 38 points. They were both presented with a live chicken and 4litres of groundnut oil respectively.

In a separate exercise, the children department also wrote their exams, just as the ones with outstanding grades were rewarded with different kind of gifts.

The leader in Charge, Sp/Ap John Aina who spoke during the presentation of gifts to the winners commended the Sunday School teachers for conducting the examination, saying he never thought it would be this big. He also thanked the teachers for their efforts in sustaining the Sunday School activities.

He, however, urged the church members to prepare for next Sunday which begins another Sunday School calendar, as the unit plans something bigger for the year 2021.
