Divine Encounter Beckons, As Ori Oke Igbala Holds 57th Annual Pilgrimage

It was a sheer case of anxiety and depression within the space of 1960 and 1980, as the rustic town of Orile Ilugun witnessed a life threatening drought. This resulted to lack of water and a negative impact on the sustenance of its inhabitants, whose economic mainstay is agriculture.

Orile Ilugun is situated along Abeokuta-Ibadan road via old Eruwa road in Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun state, Nigeria.

It, however, took one man who sought a secret place, went on his knees and commune with God to put an end to the problem. In credence to the call of God upon his life, the prayers were answered, as the dwellers of Orile Ilugun heaved a sigh of relief from the forces that subjected them to years of harsh living conditions, following a miraculous recovery.

This and many more intercessory interventions were attributed to His Eminence Baba Aladura Titus Olumuyiwa Aremu Soyooye (of blessed memory) whom God used to start up Mount of Salvation, better known as Ori Oke Igbala Prayer Mountain of the Eternal Sacred Order of C&S (Mount Zion) in the same town in 1963.

The mountain, which he started ascending alongside is late wife, Her Eminence Mama Adura H.A.O Soyooye and their little daughter; former Miss Oluwaseun Soyooye – now Apostolic mother Adekunle, had since attracted thousands of devotees who come from far and near, as they recount series of divine encounters cum testimonies upon their visit to the place.

It is also on record that baba had delivered people of from quite a number of infirmities, after which he leads them to Christ through salvation. The prayer mountain is also renowned for putting smiles on the faces of those craving the fruit of the womb, and this was how the ministry of Baba Soyooye of course earned the sobriquet – Ijo Olomowewe.

According to history, Baba’s brother; Elder E.A. Soyooye and three other persons, among which were elder Adedeji and elder Owolabi, would later join him two years after he started the mountain to further help in pushing the divine cause.

As of today, Ori Oke Igbala has been a Jerusalem of sort, as people still receive miracles and all form of divine blessings. This is as their annual seven days marathon mountain pilgrimage clocks 57 this year.

This year’s edition with the theme: “Authority and Power” is culled from Luke 4:36, and will run through Thursday 17th to Thursday 24th of December.

The hosts include: Snr. Supt. Ap. Pro Owolabi Emikan, Snr. Supt. Ap. S.O. Ogunsuada, Snr. Ap. Seye Soyoye and other anointed men of God.

As a ministry that relies on the efficacy of prayers, as laid down by the founder, this year’s spiritual exercise will feature life changing marathon prayers to be led by powerful men and women of God.

Also to feature are raw teachings of the word of God, prophesies, seminar, healing and praise sessions by notable gospel ministers.

As expected, the mountain arena has started to witness a swell in the presence of pilgrims who saunter into the venue in their numbers.

This year’s convention also promises to be a memorable one, just as it will be streamed live on Acts of Seraphs on Friday.
