The raw manifestation of the power of God was evident like never before at the just concluded Encounter 2019.
The programme which held Friday at the expansive Blue Roof pavilion tucked in heart of Ibido street, Agege-Lagos, witnessed a turnout of attendees who poured into the venue in large numbers.
Hosted by Lady prophet Funmi Arojah Owolabi JP of the Mountain of Goodness and Mercy Church in conjunction with her co-host, Bishop Philip Bornaparte of New Hope Church Of God, New Jersey USA, Encounter 2019 would go down the memory lane in the life of those in attendance as such which had their fortunes turned around for the best.
God Encountered in Songs
Every section of the programme was not without its own dose of encounter with God. The spirit-lifting song ministrations intermittently put up by the guest artistes was however not an exception as these indeed got the atmosphere of the event venue readily charged for the move of God that was soon witnessed during the programme. The list of the gospel artiste include: Nuel, Gospel, Prophetess Opeyemi Bello, Shola Allyson Obaniyi and a host of others. The choir of the Mountain of Goodness and Mercy Church who adorned purple capes and caps also thrilled the congregation with their sonorous voice.
God Encountered in Prophetic Declarations
So much that the programme had, prior to its scheduled date, spurred a certain level of expectation, an average attendee present last night soon realized it was not business as usual going by the prophetic declarations that successively flowed from the podium. Thoughts that may have been that of going home the same way one came were dwarfed as the anointed ministers of God took turns to effect the purpose of which the programme was initiated. According to Bishop J.O Adegboyega whose exhortation was laced with prophetic declarations, The Encounter programme has become a Bethel. The host, Lady Prophet Funmi Arojah Owolabi JP would later take the congregation on a round of prophetic exercise, as she dished out series of prayer points which saw the congregation make up with prompt responses.
An Encounter with Christ
The co-host, Bishop Philip Bornaparte in about over an hour ministration took the congregation on an expository journey of four major encounters that happened during the lifetime of Jesus Christ. The encounter ranges how he made still stormy wind while in a boat with his disciples; how the man with legion of demons had them cast out upon meeting with Christ; how Jesus Christ restored the health of a sick child and how the woman with the issue of blood encountered Christ having touched the helm of his garment. Bornaparte had barely finished giving an exhaustive revelation to the aforementioned instances as the congregation could be seen craving to assuage their taste for an encounter with Christ. Quite a number of them soon stepped out to give their life to Jesus Christ.
In a worded yet prophetic section, Pastor Segun Micheal took the attendees through some moments of impartation which further instilled in them, the confidence of leaving the venue fulfilled as beneficiaries of the Encounter 2019.
Also on the sideline of the programme was the unveiling of a music album by the host titled: Jomiloju. Lady Prophet Funmi Arojah Owolabi JP who claimed to have been a recording artiste for close to 20 years said ministerial duties didn’t permit her to focus much on it. she however disclosed that ‘Jomiloju’ was inspired by God and, as such, put the Church choir on the spotlight.
Meanwhile, this year’s edition of The Encounter has, without doubt, established the prospect of a more imparting editions to come.
