Elder Lekan Akintayo lived a humble, selfless life – Grandchild

The late Spiritual leader of the Holy Church of Cherubim and Seraphim, Ikirun Conference, His Eminence Elder Lekan Akintayo has been described as one who lived a humble life without seeing himself as older or bigger than anyone.

This assertion was made by one of the late patriarch’s grandchildren, Adeola Akintayo in an interview with Acts of Seraphs.

Adeola said the late cleric lived a selfless life for all and would be greatly missed.

“Baba was an epitome of humility. He was a father and a grandfather to many. He would listen to the needs of people and try his best to attend to them,” she noted.

She also revealed that the late elder Akintayo “stood by the word of God up to the very end. In his last days, he dwelled more in the presence of God and still gave us some words to hold on to.”

Seraph Adeola who claimed to have learnt humility and true spirituality from the late spiritual head, said further that “Baba submitted himself and allowed God lead him only by Faith. His personal life motto attests to this; the Just shall live by Faith.”

She added that the legacies laid by the patriarch would not be forgotten so soon.
