Snr. Special Apostle (Dr.) Emmanuel Aderemi Awode of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Divine Blessing Cathedral has emerged as the winner of the 10th edition of the Lagos State Man of the year award, LASMAYA 2021.
The award is organized by the Centre for Policy Development and Political Studies, in what was conceptualized, organised and objectively designed as a credible project of paying tribute to excellence, and as such created to identify, recognize, and project genuine role models in Lagos state.
The CEO of Chemstar Group, who was nominated alongside other top personalities in Lagos, was declared the winner of the award, having polled 6122 (53%) of the 11,378 total valid votes cast.
Among the prominent figures who were nominated for the award include Engr. Obafemi Omokungbe, the Rector of Yaba College of Technology Lagos; Prof. Akin Emmanuel Abayomi, Lagos state Commissioner for Health; Ayodele Subair; Alh Tajudeen Owoyemi, and a host of others.
Reacting to the announcement, the business tycoon in a terse statement, appreciated those who took time to vote for him. “The word Thank You seem tiny in return to the support I have received from you all for voting me as your candidate for the Lagos State Man of The Year Award 2021. So, a Big, mega and giant Thank You,” he wrote.
Dr. Emmanuel Aderemi Awode is a known Seraph, a lover of God and a highly spirited man. The cleric is widely known for his humanitarian and philanthropic gestures.
He championed the establishment of the Remi Awode Foundation [RAF] in 2013 with the sole aim of helping people. As part of the primary objective of the foundation to help and empower people, the foundation dole out over 30 million naira yearly to empower no fewer than 250 persons.
Precisely on September 16, 2021, the Remi Awode Foundation Blessed no fewer than 250 persons with a 100,000 naira to help them boost their businesses. Elder Awode is hailed not only for his company adding magnificent colours to homes, but also for his kind gestures adding value to lives.
