How CSMC Sokoto District H/Q Celebrates Palm Sunday

Seraph AJIBOLA Jethro

Praise and cheers took siege of the atmosphere at Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Sokoto District H/Q as the Church joins the Globe in celebrating Christ’s triumphant entry during yesterday’s Palm Sunday.

The service kicked off with the processional hymn; K&S 286 “ma geshin lo ‘la nla re”. The congregation joined the Seal of Life Choir in singing the Thanksgiving Hymn; K&S 288 Hossana s’omo Dafidi with joyous enthusiasm and waving of palm fronds.

A woman amongst the Special Mother in Israels was sighted singing the Thanksgiving hymn with great passion; the joy in her was so evident that she didn’t know that the hymn has been concluded, she was still humming the melody.

The sermonist M/Snr/Ap (Pst) Shola Adegbite admonished the congregation from the text Matt 21:1-11, Heb 11:1-end, Psalms 105:18-20 etc on the topic “Triumphant Entry into Conquering Faith” he charged the congregation on the importance of concrete faith.

He described Christ as the Kings of Kings who has come in the name of the Lord God. He concluded the sermon with prophetic declaration. The service ended with Benediction from the District Chairman.
