The international convention of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification campus fellowship diaspora forum is ongoing at C & S Church of Georgia, House of Testimonies in the United States.
The convention with the theme, “From Strength to Strength (Psalm 87:4)” started on Friday, June 30 and will come to a close on Sunday, July 2.
In an audience with ACTS OF SERAPHS, the coordinator, Elder Brother Olaniyi Olabiyi revealed how the forum started, saying it was foretold by God.
According to him, the forum also had its first meeting through a virtual medium before it started to hold in-person meetings.
He said, “The fellowship didn’t just start following man’s plan or strategy, but it began in fulfilment of God’s promises and timing. Before now, God had promised to extend the Unification to the Diaspora. Two of our past presidents, Bro. Kayode Lotun and Prophet Oye Sobo also confirmed this.
“We have many unification graduates in North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and some African countries. But our coming together as a body began before COVID-19. We had the first virtual meeting on March 6, 2020, with 17 graduate members in attendance. In addition to meeting on the first Saturday of the month, the body also shares a daily scripture exposition tagged ‘Lighthouse’ to nurture everyone’s soul. The first edition was written and posted on February 13, 2021.”
The forum held its maiden inaugural service in 2022 in Canada. Olabiyi however said the service was planned a year earlier.
“When the virtual service began, we saw the need to meet in person. If my memory serves me right, the need to have an inaugural service first came up in October 2021 during a meeting of the steering committee,” he explained.
Olabiyi said there is an eight-member steering committee overseeing the affairs of the graduate forum in the diaspora.
He also listed members who constitute the leadership of the fellowship as Bro. Tunde Olotu – Assistant Coordinator- USA, Sis. Esther Ogukumle – USA, Bro. Segun Falusi – USA, Sis. Yemisi Dipeolu – Canada, Prophetess Omotola Solomon – Canada, Prophet Juwon Sowande – UK and Bro. Lijoka Emmanuel – Secretary – UK.
Olabiyi who is based in Canada said the leadership of the forum is saddled with the single task of raising the banner of Jesus Christ high through fellowship and relating with one another in love.
