I’ll Set The Youths On The Path Of Godliness, Says New EYF President

The newly elected president of the Eternal Youth Fellowship, Hotonu, Brother Emmanuel Adesanya, says his leadership is committed to setting the youths on the path of godliness and purposefulness in all areas of their endeavour.

Speaking at the monthly vigil of the fellowship which held last Friday, Adesanya pointed out that the role of the youths in the church and the society at large is important, just as it cannot be given a wave of hand.

Being his maiden speech since his emergence, Adesanya declared that the mandate he is saddled with alongside his executives is to start building the next generation of leaders that will take the church to the next level.

“Please note that this set of executives is committed to serve the Lord through service to the youth in all ramifications. Youths are the life wire of the church and the society at large, meaning that the vision and the inspiration needed for the future resides with the youth and when we don’t get these things right, the church/society will be stagnant because the youth failed in their responsibility. It is therefore the mandate of this set of executives to start building the next generation leader that will take the church to the next level. We are committed to returning the youth to the path of Godliness, purposefulness, integrity, vibrancy, accountability and respectability in all spheres of life.” He asserted.

Adesanya who emerged as president during the fellowship’s annual general conference which held last month, however, expressed optimism in the course of discharging his duties.

“As we are all aware, that this mantle being given to me and my fellow executives to steer the ship of this fellowship for a period of two years is not an easy task but I strongly believe that at the end of it all, we shall be more than a conqueror.” He said.

The president also disclosed that the fellowship will have a special inauguration ceremony during its next Vigil scheduled to hold last Friday of July, as it is aimed at appreciating those who have laboured in the vineyard and to formally inaugurate and anoint the new set of executives.
