The 2020 annual international convention which marks the 40th anniversary of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Campus Fellowship has been postponed till further notice.
This was contained in a circular addressed to invited guest ministers by the Central Executive Council, CEC, and made available to this platform.
The convention tagged – Isokan@40 was scheduled to take place from Monday 27th April to Sunday 3rd May, 2020, at the fellowship’s Convention Ground in Wasinmi, along Ibadan-Ife Expressway, Osun state.
While citing reasons for the development, the apex body of the fellowship noted that, “the postponement was occasioned by the global spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19 pandemic together with its attendant Social Distance Law which has become a central topic of discussion and concern to all countries in the world.”
It, however, stated that a new date would be disclosed very much after the nation surmounts its own peculiar challenges emanating from the novel coronavirus.
“On behalf of the Central Executive Council (CEC), the inconvenience that might result from this inevitable postponement is highly regretted. The new date for the programme will be communicated to you as soon as our Nation gets out of the pandemic issue. Please, be assured that your ministration is still intact.”
“While thanking you immensely for your kind consideration and acceptance of this postponement and your zeal towards uplifting the work of God, we pray that the mighty God will continue to enrich your knowledge about Him and uplift you to greater height in Jesus name, ” the circular reads.
Meanwhile, the CEC in a separate circular addressed to all members of the existing campus fellowships, stated emphatically that the postponement does not amount to a total cancellation of the programme.
While noting that the registration process is still in effect, it urged members to continue to register pending the time a new date would be fixed.
“Note that the CEC has not cancelled the convention. The new date will be communicated to you all as soon as our Nation gets out of the pandemic issue. However, the Early bird registration period is still on, so you can continue to register for the convention online.”
“We seize this medium to tell you to continue to stay safe, take all the precautionary measures as advised by health experts and be prayerful, ” the statement added.
