The host of heavens, without having to mince words, had reason to rejoice yesterday September 7, as the cause to further propagate the kingdom of God received a boost.
To advance the cause is General Reverend Apostolic Mother Ebunoluwa Oluwaseyi Bakare who was ordained and installed as the Minister in charge of the Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Church Oluwamayomikun Parish situated at Oke Itunu, Ibadan – Oyo state capital.
The female cleric is the convener of Gboromiro Prayer Minister; a capacity in which God has used her as a vessel to initiate series of spiritual and social interventions.
It is worth to note that Mother Seyi Bakare assumed the helms of affairs of the church, as she took over the mantle of leadership from her spiritual and biological mother, General Rev’d Apostolic Mother Prophetess E.A Coker.
The ordination process was presided over by the Supreme Head of Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church Worldwide, His Eminence Prophet (Dr) Solomon Adegboyega Alao.
The event was graced by eminent personalities across board. Notable among them is Oyo State Governor, Oluwaseyi Makinde who was ably represented by his personal assistant, Pastor Alawode; Dr. Akeredolu, an erudite scholar at the Polytechnic Ibadan; the Zonal Manager of Radio Nigeria and a host of others.
The one of its kind programme started with a huge welcome session of Baba Olori who also doubles as the supreme Head Cherubim and Seraphim Sacred church by trumpeters, Brigade and Gboromiro Ushers. He was welcomed alongside his wife, Mummy Alao and his entourage with songs, sounds and shout of joy.
The national anthem was recited, followed by Unification anthem. Baba Olori was soon led to commission some of the projects that was put up by Mother Bakare. These include a borehole and a toilet facility. Mother Bakare in the course of the commissioning revealed to Baba Olori, the rationale behind the borehole, noting that the scarcity of water in that area prompted the project.
The service also witnessed other activities like song ministration by both the District Mass Choir and the host Choir, prayer session for leadership of Oyo state and Nigeria as a whole and for the ordainees.
It was an emotional sight to behold as Baba Olori anoints Mummy Coker. This was carried out in the presence of her daughter and a few members of the church.
She was indeed glad to witness such auspicious occasion, just as she appreciated the supreme head for honouring the invitation.
Avoid Overheating – Elder Alao
In his sermon, Elder Ap. (Evang.) Tunde A. Alao told a story of how himself, Mummy Seyi and one other person started during their youthful age. He also noted that today Mummy Seyi is now his senior. He titled his sermon “Overcooling and Overheating” while he spoke extensively on the over heating aspect.
He said that the new position is going to be challenging but she must avoid over heating. He shed more light on the points with bible reference from Numbers 11verse 4 upward.
The sermon which came in two phases also touched the aspect of fake identity by some non C&S members who indulge in activities that are irreconcilable with that of a true seraph. He regarded such act as an avenue to extort people.
Speaking further, he used Jeremiah 3:15-16 as reference point. He however advised Mother Bakare to get ready for the new challenge. The apt and concise sermon lifted the spirit in people and further confirm the Seraphs truly exist and waxing stronger.
My Joy Knows No Bound – Mother Bakare
These were words from General Reverend Apostolic Mother Oluwaseyi Bakare.
In a chat with Acts Of Seraphs, she spoke on how she had wanted to become a captain of a company and climb the career ladder but took a shift and eventually found herself in ministry.
It will be recalled how she spoke in retrospect of her feats as a career woman during an interview she earlier granted Acts of Seraphs.
On the new development, she expressed her joy, noting that it has always been her way of life to leave things better than she met it.
“I see this as a new assignment to win more souls to God and propagate the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ the more.” She said.
She Possesses godly Characters – Members
As for members of Oluwamayomikun Parish, it was a dream come true for them in what appeared a glorious day they have apparently waited for in a long while.
When asked how they feel about the new Minister-in-Charge, three people consisting of an elder who is a male, another prominent elderly woman and a young vibrant soul, attest to the fact that she (General Apostolic Mother Oluwaseyi) is truly an ordained woman of God.
They added that she had in the past had shown all the godly characters needed to lead them aright.
Mother Oluwaseyi Bakare’s installation and ordination service evidently showed that indeed she had a genuine and divine calling of God upon her head.
