The Lagos State Chapter of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria has elected a new set of leadership.
This is as Special Apostle Segun Adio takes over from Snr. Superintendent Apostle J.O Adagba as the new helmsman to lead the chapter for the next three years.
The immediate past scribe, Evang. Dr. Rotimi Odugbesan also emerged as the Vice-Chairman of the chapter.
The election which held on Monday at the Holy Church of C&S Mount Sinai, Ebute-Metta area of the state was conducted by the National Executive Council of C&S Unification Church of Nigeria in conjunction with a five-man electoral committee led by General Sunday Omopariola.
The exercise witnessed a massive turn-out of representatives of federating churches, local divisions and Wings of the chapter with a recorded number of 367 accredited members.

In his address, Chairman National Executive Council, His Eminence Emmanuel Omoniyi Owomoyela JP, who jointly supervised the election with Assiatant Secretary 1 of the NEC, Apostle Tayo Ajose, congratulated the new Executives. According to him, “these set of Executive are not new to the system.”
He reminded them that leadership was about service. “They should continue the work of their predecessors, you must be ready to serve the people and put God first,” he said.
The immediate past chairman of the state, Snr. Supt. Apostle J.O Adagba JP, while addressing the press said, “As the NEC chairman stated they are not new and the majority of them have paid their dues and have worked closely with me.
“I am placing them on the pedestal of the word of God which can help them succeed, and I implore them to work in unity and love”, he added.
Special Apostle Segun Adio JP, the newly-elected chairman while speaking with the press, also expressed his gratitude to God saying, “I am very elated for the fulfillment of God’s promise in my life.”
Ap. Adio appreciated his predecessor, Snr. Supt. Apostle Adagba, his good work. According to him, “Elder Adagba has brought the chapter from almost obscurity to where we are today and it is my prayer that we surpass whatever has been done and we would try our best to do more,” he said.
