The funeral rites of the late General Leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Surulere District Headquarters, Prophet Sunday Funsho Korode, will commence on February 5, 2024.
The late spiritual head passed on Sunday, November 26, 2023.
In an exclusive chat with Acts of Seraphs on Wednesday, the first child of the deceased spiritual head, Seraph Femi Korode said plans were underway to ensure a befitting burial.
He explained that the family was working with a committee constituted by the church to finalise the details of the burial.
He said, “We have picked a week for the funeral rites. It will commence on Monday, February 5, 2024, and we plan to have the burial that week. We are waiting to put together details of what will happen that week. The family is working with the American contingents in conjunction with the Asaph of Seraphs organization to conduct a service of songs in the USA.
“The church has formed a committee to help with the funeral and is already having meetings. The family is also working in conjunction with the committee and they are keeping us posted. Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks, we will get something concrete and we will roll the details out.”
The US-based attorney added that the final rites would be held in Omu-Aran, Kwara State which is the hometown of the deceased.
