All true Seraphs; spiritually enlightened, educated in God’s wisdom and scripturally informed must pick up the gauntlets now and continue to work to polish the church’s glittering and gifted image which, for so long, has been defaced, trampled upon; whose uniqueness in Christendom is denied by the selfish, the envious and oftentimes the ignorant and uninformed within and without.
We must not allow the infamous acts of a cancerous few to deter us from spreading the light we embody as Seraphs.
Heartbreaking and disappointing are the actions of charlatans in our denomination who are out there representing themselves and not the true church as pioneered by St. Moses Orimolade Tunolase. These lions in sheep clothings have hijacked the good cause of this blessed band and have substantially thrown our credibility into the wind. They are so far away from representing Jesus Christ, but have rather been emboldened by those of their ilk who have brazenly evolved more devious and perverted schemes to sink the ship of the church.
The social media is running amok with disgraceful images of white garmenters in ritualistic and fetish modes of worship; an image of a man carrying burning candles on his head, another of a so called prophet boasting of his expertise in the area of teaching about tying down a woman’s love with seal and many other indecent and indecorous videos of twerkers and other sexually provocative dances in our worship auditoriums are just a few of the shameful ways of our ‘folks’ nowadays. The most recent one, of course, is the controversial ordination.
Much as that is not what we represent as Seraphs, how long are we going to savour the negatives brought on us by those we call our own? Will you allow those who have ultimately and ferociously resolved to be our judge, in total contradiction to the scriptures’ counsel and instructions, prevail and cast our lovely and coveted pearls before the swine? Will your generation of the C & S church accept the mud slinging, the caustic mouthing and condemnation of a church called to bring salvation? Or are you ready to come and let us reason together to do our part in fixing, rebuilding and starting the renaissance now?
Prophet Jeremiah asmonishes thus:
“This is what the LORD says: Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls…..” (Jeremiah 6:16)
We are at the crossroads now and we need to make a choice to go back and walk the path of holiness and truthfulness on which the foundation of our order was laid; that is the way that our fathers walked. They are the great army generals of God, the pioneers of this great church on whose shoulders we rode to fame.
Let us unequivocally say to the defiants and those who refuse to hearken to the sound of the trumpet that it is not too late to amend their ways. They should start an inside-out assessment of the current situation by gravitating towards what Christ expects of true followers and not what their lusts relish.
Let’s keep all our senses opened for those of our own who are out of tune with Seraphs. No doubt most of us were embittered by the recent development, but the truth is – we can’t afford to be discouraged. We must continue to spread the light as Seraphs.
I’m sure you have better ideas than the author of this piece on the way forward for us, true Seraphs.
