“I was not given birth to as a Christian, I have a Muslim background, but to the glory of God I became a Christian in Dec 26, 2008 as a Seraph and since then I have been burning for Christ”… Seraph Olalekan Sanusi
Unlike many other seraphs who have featured in the Seraph Of The Week category, thus having Christian background while some joined the fold at a point in time, Seraph Olalekan is of a different kind. He was born into a family that has a deep root in Islam; he grew up going to the mosque as an ardent Muslim. However, an interesting thing happened in 2008 that turned him into a Seraph burning for Christ!
If your woman; whether girlfriend, fiancee or wife has never shown you the way to Christ, then you may have to re-examine such relationship! It is worthy of note that Seraph Olalekan became a Christian through his girlfriend, though she wasn’t the one who preached to him but she at least showed him the way to the house of salvation.
He explained what caught his heart during the process of his conversion. Contrary to the belief of many people that the white garment church is identified with items like soap, candle, sponge during prayers, he said he got none of these from the man whom God used for his conversion; Prophet Shola Arigbangba. According to him, all the prophet required that he do was fast and pray for three days which confirms the word of Christ in ‘Mathew 17:21.
When quizzed if he has ever experienced discrimination being a Seraph, he replied in the affirmative, “Yes, I have experienced this times without number. Even while I am here in America I think I experienced it in one of my work place one day. I was trying to talk to a guy to invite him and preach to him. And he asked me which church am attending and I told him C&S. He asked me C&S? Ki le nwa nibe? Ki le nse nibe? (What are you looking for there? What are you doing there?). But after chatting him up for like an hour, he realises am a C&S with a difference. A C&S with an impact, a C&S that has the word of God and a C&S that is fully loaded”.
Seraph Olalekan however reiterated the reason behind the inferiority complex most Seraphs battle with. In his words, “Why we have this inferior psyche is because we don’t understand The Word in depth. Our attitude and our character in the sight of others is nothing to write home about. Those are some of the things we need to work upon. Ki Olorun ran wa lowo”. He went further, “the fact remains that there are even some of us in C&S that do not know what they possess; when you know what you possess you will know you cannot be discriminated. The family you belong to, will let you know your inheritance”.
While speaking about the things he loves about the C&S fold, Seraph Olalekan disclosed that everything about Seraph is unique, from the doctrine to the style of worship, especially our hymnals “they are just the best”, he stated.
Speaking with Seraph Olalekan actually changed my perception about the word ‘ministry’. According to him, “Ministry is not a physical structure but God’s preaching towards salvation. I don’t believe the general notion that because we have a ministry, then we should be popular. I believe ministry is about spreading the gospel and my mission is to save as many as possible souls; not just calling them to Christ but imparting their life financially so that they can achieve their purpose and fulfill destiny in life”. He further explained that Jesus didn’t build any Church, yet His ministry has spread to the length and breath of the world.
Seraph Olalekan is a bridge between white garment churches and other Pentecostal Churches. He has helped discovered the potentials of young Christians in the C&S fold, the Celestial church and even members of other denomination and supporting them to achieve their aims and goals in life.
It is quite pleasing to announce that Seraph Olalekan is based in the United States of America where he is relentlessly doing the works of the Father; breaking barriers of separation between white garment churches and all other churches via the undiluted word of God.
While he was here in Nigeria, he served in so many capacities which includes being a member of welfare unit and prayer/prophetic unit in Unification campus fellowship at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, a one time auditor of Organization of African Instituted Churches (OAIC) Osogbo local government and also a personal assistant to Ondo district chairman of CSMC. He was ordained a prophet in year 2015, seven years after he gave his life to Christ. What a rapid spiritual growth!
Reasonably, Seraph Olalekan is a very calm and nice man to everyone, however, fried plantain and fried egg can’t say the same thing of him. He doesn’t spare the plate of fried plantain and egg because of his penchant for it. He loves travelling and meeting new people and his favourite colour is white and blue.

Articulated piece. Sarah Olamilekan is right we Cherubim and Seraphim members need to dedicate time to study the Word of God deeply and be vast in the word. If we digest the Bible to the extent that you can stand to interact cogently when preaching the word, then all will respect the fold of Cherubim and Seraphim. For by then we would be filled with the word of God put the Holy Spirit which the God of Mose Orimolade Tunolase has bestowed us with. May we not be found wanting in Jesus mighty name, amen.
Amen. Many thanks ma.
