Meet Seraph Aderibigbe Richard – An Advocate Of “Exalt Christ Not Church”

“My religion is perfect and church is great; if you see any fault in me, blame it on me and not my religion or Church”. These words actually sounded more like a quote from a philosopher, but they were the words of Seraph Aderibigbe Richard Anuoluwapo.

Seraph Richard is a graduate of the Polytechnic of Ibadan where he actively served in the Cherubim and Seraphim Campus Fellowship as the Vice-President of the Chapter for a while academic session. Hmmm, Vice-President, the head of spiritual matters. One might begin to wonder in awe how spiritual this Seraph will be.

In an exclusive chat, he said one of the challenges we have in the C&S fold is the personality of people worshiping in the fold and how they are being perceived; In his words, ” The church preach against every negative social vices, and many people outside the fold have attached everything negative to members of the fold. We should put the blame on the bad heads in our midst because not all seraphs indulge in such act”.

He added, “Every Church is only near perfect, no Church is ever perfect, but you don’t go about condemning the Church because you have seen some members of the church in nefarious acts, you should blame the people for bastardizing the standard of Christ in their Church”.

Seraph Richard went further, ” People tell me I don’t look like a member of C&S and the question I ask them is, How does a C&S member look like, is there a certain feature that is used to recognize one?”.

When he was asked how he manage discrimination from members of other denomination, he said; “my kind of person doesn’t let them discriminate me, we should make Christ our standard”. He opined that every Christian is a Christ Ambassador, we shouldn’t exalt the doctrines of our local church more than Christ himself. I don’t have a problem with any man or woman who has come in the name of Christ, he added.

It is worthy of note that Seraph Richard is an active member of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ife Iwo district Headquaters Ibadan, Oyo state Nigeria.

Good to note, this handsome man is the Seraph of the Week
