With her neatly dressed garment and firmly used girdle, she is always seen at the choir stand every Sunday. There is hardly anyone in Church who is ever conscious that would not hear her sonorous voice from the blasting speaker during hymns rendition, or praise and worship session.
This is no other than Seraph Adedeji Dorcas Oluwafunmilola, a dulcet Gospel singer and lover of God. Good to know, she is a graduate of Computer Science (HND) from the prestigious Federal Polytechnic, Yaba College of Technology. A woman who is a lover of colour white but rice, beans and fish sauce has never found pity in her hands because of her penchant for it.
Seraph Dorcas in a chat with Acts Of Seraphs disclosed how she takes pride in being a member of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church. She reiterated the need for Seraph youths to be up and doing. In her words, ” The founding fathers have fought the good fight of faith, now the power to change the wrong perception of people about the fold lies in the hands of youths. We have to be Christ Ambassadors everywhere we go; our lives as Seraph must preach Christ to people”.
Asked if she has ever experienced criticism for being a seraph, she said: “I have experienced a lot of criticisms because am a seraph, but am not easily fooled by cheap critics. All I do is make them believe we are not fetish like they think by making them worship with us and in the end, they always fall in love with our mode of service”. Hmmm, would it not be nice to have more youths like this pretty Seraph in the fold? Well, your answer is very much similar to mine.
Seraph Dorcas is an active member of the youth chapel of Divine Blessing Cathedral, Lagos Nigeria which housed the palatial House of Prosperity youth chapel. She is one of the lead vocalist in her church and has also been very much active in the Mass Choir of the fold. It may interest you to know that she has been singing since the tender age of five?
She is a lover of God, one major event that turned her life all around was when she had an encounter with Christ. Little wonder, when she was asked about her most memorable event, she said it was the day she gave her life to Christ. Her favourite hymn is 840, O dun mo mi pe baba wa Orun, she loves this song because it makes her understand and remember the undying love God has for her.
Reasonably, Seraph Dorcas isn’t a lover of music alone, she loves being handy and economically productive. In fact, she is a cash madam per excellence, she is one of the most vigorous young entrepreneurs in the country. She operates an online store on Instagram with name @phummiecollections where she sells bags, shoes, slippers, sneakers (Unisex) casual and cooperates wears and all kinds of perfumes.
What she, however, considers her dreams and aspirations are such one could barely come by as she disclosed that her biggest dream and aspiration is to be a Christ Ambassador everywhere and that explains why she is her own role model because she is just the best version of her self.
Conclusively, Seraph Adedeji Dorcas Oluwafunmilola is the Seraph of the week for this edition. She has shown that Seraphs aren’t only spiritual, we are also hard-working and relevant in this economic competitive world . Indeed, Seraphs aren’t lazy!
