“Those who think they are too holy or righteous to take hold of the political scene are always punished by being ruled by those who are unholy and unrighteous. It is about time Christians and those at the corridor of spirituality stand upright to take charge of Politics in the country”.
These are the vision and aspirations of Seraph Gandonu Gabriel, a veteran revivalist and Prophet. Working along with the scriptures in Proverbs 29:2 which states, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn”, Seraph Gandonu opines being part of the Nation’s governance is the best way believers can save this country from her corrupt leaders and office looters.
Would it not be nice to have a rundown of this distinct Seraph with an impeccable vision and aspirations for the fold and Nation at large?
Gandonu Gabriel is an ordained Prophet, an evangelist by office, a preacher of the raw word of God and a counsellor. He is a graduate of Houdegbe North American University Cotonou where he bagged His LLB. HONS. During his days in school, he served as the Attorney General of the Law Faculty.
Through the grace of God Almighty, he facilitated the birth of the first international Cherubim and Seraphim Campus Fellowship in Houdegbe North American University Cotonou on September 11, 2011. A vision born out of the undying passion of Co-grooming youths, especially of the white Garment Fold, is second to none, this made him a preacher of the undiluted word of God and widely travelled missionary.
Good to note, Seraph Gandonu isn’t just productive in the things of the spirit alone, he is also an industrious individual. He is a Property Manager and Consultant an Associate member of The Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators. He has Various professional Certificates to his Name.
In an exclusive chat with actsofseraphs.com, Seraph Gandonu disclosed that he’s an advocate of unity in Christendom, hence, he doesn’t discriminate in associate. However, when he was asked if he has ever experienced any form of discrimination as a seraph, he shared his encounter, “Just like Tope Alabi sang that “Emi mo oun ti oju mi ti ri’, on several occasions, I have had people look at me like a nobody once you say I’m a member of Cherubim and Seraphim. But probably after little interaction or ministrations then the narratives would change to “What are you doing there?, “You don’t sound like them” and a host of other talks that are dying natural deaths now
A particular Quiz competition organized years back in Cotonou for all students fellowship, We C&S Students fellowship came first and the judge wanted to shortchange us just because they felt it is a taboo for white Garment to win such yearly contest until there were a protest and the lead supervising pastor intervened, scores revalidated and the First position Given to us.
We are not deterred as it can only get better by Gods Grace and Enablement”
Relating the experience of being the first white garment fellowship on the soil of another country despite the misconception about the fold, he said;
There is a feeling of confidence and courage that accompanies a man who truly believes in what he carries. Funny enough we converted anything convertible if there is a word like that
We had a lot of Non-Cherubim and Seraphim members join the fold basically because they saw C&S not in the way they have all presumed. In word, prayers, prophecies, developmental programmes and above all inclusion as a Body of Christ not segregating anyone indeed gave us an Edge”.
Seraph Gandonu explained the vision that led to the birth of Cherubim and Seraphim Campus Fellowship in Houdegbe North America University. He disclosed that after he had gotten directives from God in March 2011, it still took him months of reluctance and sluggishness basically because he was part of the founding members of R.C.F on the same campus and he was most likely to be one of the executives.
However, after sternly repeated encounters with GOD, he was left with no choice than to leave R.C.F and met people of like minds who are of C&S background to share the vision with them and to God’s Glory, the vision became a reality on September 25 2011.
Unlike many other ministers that believe that the fold is an Orthodox Church, Seraph Gandonu has another perception about the fold. He opined that the church is a Pentecostal movement where the move of GOD is not only evident but operational in full force. It is no gainsaying that this Seraph is such a passionate and zealous one. Little wonder his favourite hymn is C&S hymn NI ORILE EDE ENIYAN DUDU.
Reasonably, one of his dreams and aspirations is to participate in politics and be part of governance and policy making organs in our dear Country, “I dream of a time when selfish acts would end and all we do would be to GOD’S glory. Dreams and aspirations are quite enormous, may GOD grant us Grace and Divine enablement”.
Aside being a minister of God and great revivalist, he has also served in various arms of the church. Whenever he’s not on a ministerial duty, Seraph Gandonnu worships at Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church New Covenant Model Ikorodu and also doubles as the Assistant District secretary of New covenant District (UK)
Some of his likes and dislikes include: Honesty, Humility, Travelling, Meeting new people, Un-ending quest for knowledge, while he dislikes Unscriptural acts, conspiracy/Lies and un-necessary pride.
Seraph Gandonu is a lover of colour blue and he would not spare a plate of rice and noodles because of his penchant for it.
Despite his busy schedule as a minister of God and energetic social worker, he still spends quality time with his wife Mrs. Bukola and lovely daughter Gabriella Gandonu.
