It was indeed an appealing spiritual ambiance to behold at the just concluded annual Mount Horeb Ascension, a programme organized by the International Council of Prophets of the Cherubim and seraphim Movement Church (Worldwide) Ayo Ni O which held at Onile Igbon, Ogbomosho, Oyo State from 29th April through 3rd of May.
The event which draws Ayo Ni o brethren from across the world held at the popular Galilee Land which was officially opened on the 1st of May, 2019.
It is worth of note that this year’s convention marks the 50th Anniversary of the annual gathering, thus making it an elaborate one.
Dignitaries such as Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi; Soun of Ogbomosho, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III and a host of others were present to witness the memorable event.
The conference included keynote adresses, workshop, seminars, presentations, games, spiritual fitness programmes, vigil and the 2019 Ascension of Mount Horeb.
The major highlight of the convention was the ordination of a new supervising prophet in person of Special Apostle Zaccheus A Emmuaneul Ogundimu. His ordination came on the heels of the demise of Baba Adebayo. More so, of significance is the fact that prophet Zaccheus who had been acting in such capacity since 2014 happens to be the youngest supervising prophet in the history of movement.
Quite a sizeable number of Asaphs also appreciated God in songs and hymnals. These include: Opeyemi Bello, Bisi Alawiye, National Choir, Horeb Choir, Kunle Ajobale, Zumutan Mayan Kaduna, the 10years old Semilore Oluwadamilare, Queen of Zion, and many others.
There is no doubting the fact that this year’s gathering was massively planned as significant and foundational members of mount Horeb from its inception at Kaduna were awarded. Senior prophets both late and alive that were pioneer members were awarded and recognised. Few names include:- Pa Nathaniel Coker, late Pro. Lydia Alo, Sp.Ap Oduwaye, Pro. Femi Yemi, and many others.
Mama Esther Ajayi who graced the event on the third day of the ascension, took the Sermon and also led the congregation in prayers after which she was also awarded and recognised as “a supporting and strong woman of our generation”.
A crested vest of blue and white colour was used generally to celebrate the gala night and praise day at the newly built auditorium.
As everyone however returned to their various destinations on Saturday morning, prophets in training and the event planners waited behind to hold the convention Thanksgiving on Sunday.
