As the Cherubim & Seraphim Church approaches its centenary milestone in 2025, the New Seraph Evangelical Ministries has called for unity among church members to ensure a memorable celebration.
During a press briefing for the 2024 Annual General Conference themed “Approaching C&S Centenary; Shaping The Future,” held in Lagos State on Friday, the founder, Her Grace Dr. Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye JP, emphasised the importance of considering the centenary celebration as a family affair.
The clergywoman specifically noted that the ministry was ready to do everything possible to ensure a unified celebration.
She said, “We will do everything that we need to do to make the world know that we are 100 years old and to join hands with other bodies in the C & S to make this one family. People are already talking to us, other arms are already talking to us. We don’t want to make it an island thing, but join hands to make it a memorable one.”
Dr. Yomi-Sholoye while speaking on her expectation of making this a reality, urged all Seraphs to do away with their differences.
According to her, no individual or body is greater than the church itself, as everyone is equal.
“My personal expectation towards this landmark event is for all Seraphs to sheath their swords, and come together as one body to propagate the church. No one person or body is greater than the church. All of us are equally. We need one another. Let us stoop low to conquer and let the progress, stability and name of the church be the one that is staring all of us in the eyes. And after this, the expectation should not end with the celebration. It should be another beginning for us. All the right things that we need to do to live a true Christ-like life.” She remarked.
The 2-day programme is set to hold at The New Seraph Grand Hall, located at The New Seraph Prayer City, located at Km 60, Lagos/Ibadan Express Way, New Seraph Bus Stop, Ode Remo, by Sapade Overhead Bridge, Ogun State.
While giving highlights of the conference, she said The New Seraph would address certain salient issues under fruitful deliberations by renowned speakers and panellists from several Conferences of the Church on what they think could be done better post-centenary.
“Our Annual General Conference as usual will be attended by members of The New Seraph across the Nation and in Diaspora, with an opening ceremony happening this coming Thursday, 16th May, 2024. Dignitaries from all works of life, Representatives from Government Parastatals and Royal Fathers with their Oloris will be present at the Opening Ceremony.
“Our Main Guest Speaker is Pastor Thomas Adekunle Fakile JP with several Panelists like Pastor Tosin Faremi, Snr Leader Jesubi Temitope, Moth. Bola Odeyinde, Reverend Ola Joseph Okikimile, Evang. Tunde Jedidah, and Ap. Seyi Odufuwa. Chief Panelists for this year’s Annual General Conference are Supt Ap. Eng’r. Niyi Afolabi and Supt. Ap. Olatunde Ogunkunle,” she added.
She further said, “This is another opportunity for us to move the Cherubim & Seraphim Church forward as we look forward to our Centenary and at The New Seraph, we shall continue to lead in this crusade which the Lord is using to charge the good course for our dear Cherubim & Seraphim.”
