The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, says Nigerians need to read books that will serve as guide to enjoy the prosperous and abundant life God has promised.
He however recommends a newly published 52-week devotional, titled: “The Amazing Life” and authored by Prophet Damilola Ogunseye of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Surulere District Headquarters.
In his remarks at the launch of the book hosted in Lagos at the weekend, the Air Chief said the principles and guidance the book provides, if applied, would reflect greatly on the affairs of the nation.
He said: “All round prosperity is tied to the prosperity of our soul. Accordingly, in order to live an amazing life, we must feed our soul with the right diet for it to prosper. In this regard, we need a good devotional that will guide us to enjoy this prosperous and abundant life. Therein lies the importance of this 52-week devotional – The Amazing Life.”
Oladayo who was the chairman of the occasion stated further that God’s promise for an amazing life does not apply to us as individuals, family or churches alone but also to the entire nation. “I believe as we collectively apply the principles and guidance of this book, our nation, Nigeria, will begin to see the blessings of God, and will become manifestly evident in the affairs of the nation, and the desired transformation will be revealed for the betterment of our people,” He added. He also enjoined everyone to get a copy of the book to assess and as such recommend to friends and family.
With words deftly written in simple terms for all to understand, the book provides answers to questions backed with prayer points inspired by the word of God.
Speaking on how he came about the inspiration, Prophet Ogunseye; an astute administrator with experience spanning 18 years in the aviation industry, said it was a commission given to him by God in the year 2018 which was to preach His word.
“The inspiration came from God during one of my trips from New York. The Lord told me – ‘Take your bag from the cabin locker. Take your pen, there is an assignment I want to give to you.’ Although, I was so tired, I picked the writing pad and my pen. He told me ‘I am going to give you topics to write and you’re going to share with the world.’ And he gave me the first topic – The Church. He explained everything from the introduction to Bible reference up to the questions to ask, the reality check and the prayer points I needed to attach to every topic. Then I started doing that from 18th of July 2018. I started writing and posting on Facebook and Whatsapp platforms because the commission was that you must preach this word for people to know.”
Ogunseye who is also an ordained Apostle disclosed further that the decision to publish the book was made at the tail end of year 2020 into this year when God told him to compile the topics. Speaking during a question and answer session, he noted that the publication was meant to transform lives.
He said his mindset is to see people come into the kingdom of God, adding, “And that is why anyone that I have interaction with must know Christ with me. No matter how worse your life is. Mine is to let you see the light of Christ and come into His kingdom.”
C&S clerics who penned their thoughts in the publication, and as well recommended it are Prophet S.F Korode, Chairman/General Leader CSMC Surulere District; Prophetess Lara Oyeyemi, Apostolic Deputy Spiritual Mission of the Church and Prophet Taye Mathew.
Others include: Dr. Oluseyi Oladapo, Toluse Olorunnipa of Washington Post, Funsho Ijaodola and Mr. Oluwole Shongotola.
