April 26 has since the past few decades remained significant in the life of a mother, teacher, leader, mentor and prophetess. A day friends, families and well wishers joyously celebrate the existence of one of the finest and rarest gifts to the human race. This is no other than the delectable and firebrand Pastor (Mrs) Oluwaseyi Bakare.
One whom God has immeasurably bestowed His grace upon. And not only has she enjoyed such divine gesture from her creator, but also, by way of extension, put such to magnanimous use by impacting the lives of everyone that crosses her path – positively. A woman beaming with purpose and vision by every standard, Pastor Seyi Bakare in her own capacity, has contributed in no small way to the good narratives the white garment fold is enjoying through quite a number Seraphs doing the fold proud out there. To call her a trailblazer when it comes to the kingdom assignment is without mincing words.
Of course, she practically put this to bear through series of physical and spiritual intervention programmes she organizes for both the white garment and non white garment members. What equally stems from her pursuit and desire to win souls to Christ transcends her domain in the ancient city of Ibadan, as seen, felt and attested to even beyond the shores of the country.
While you may also wonder how she has been able to worm her way into the hearts of Christians across existing denominations, the book of 2 Corinthians 3:2 is clearly a sheer credence to this. To succinctly put, her Christ-like virtue is indeed contagious. She has a way of making you love God the more upon your first encounter with her. Firm and resolute in her approach to God’s work, Mama Gboromiro, as she is fondly called, has also proved beyond reasonable doubt that you can serve God with every sense of simplicity.
The result of how she also motivates people in the journey of Christian faith makes a better part of the testimonies that abound during the annual operation 7 to 7 programme. Without having to state the obvious, the ever accessible, accommodating and hospitable female cleric is in a world of her own, yet doing the Seraph fold as well as the Christian populace – proud. From Acts of Seraphs, we say a happy birthday, as we adopt every bit of prayers offered to celebrate her on this special day.
