World renowned Evangelist and Philanthropist, Reverend Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D (Honoris Causa), Humane Letters from the CICA International University & Seminary, Canada.
She was conferred with the Honourary degree at the just concluded Seraph Youths Mega Praise Concert which held Saturday at Seraphim Land, Maba, Ogun state.
The Mega Concert which saw thousands of Seraph youths from across different states in Nigeria, Ghana and London was also attended by the Supreme Head, Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, His Most Eminence, Dr Prophet Solomon Adegboyega Alao and his wife Mama Folashade Alao and members of the National Executive Council (NEC) led by Supt. Apostle Owomoyela.
Principal officers of the University who were in attendance at the programme decorated the female cleric with a honourary gown and presented her with a certificate of the degree signed by the Chancellor of the school, Dr Philip Phinn.
The award was authorized by the Board of Governors and Faculty upon recommendation of the faculty of Houston, Texas in the United States.
In her reaction to the honour, the highly elated Mother Esther Ajayi expressed her gratitude to the institution for considering her worthy of such honour. She also disclosed that she had to defer the award to the time of the Mega Praise Concert when she was earlier notified of the development.
According to her, there was no better time to be decorated of such honour than a period that has multitude of Seraph youths in attendance. She said it will, in no small measure, serve as a form of encouragement to them.
“When I was informed of the honour, I said the best night will be this night. To receive it among the youths”, she said.
Meanwhile, the honour was greeted with a round of applause from the youths who felicitated with her.
Mother Ajayi also received two different awards in the course of the programme; one from the association of Gospel Musicians, Lagos state chapter and the other from the Celestial Church of Christ that declared her as the “Woman of the Year”.
She, however said the award is about people encouraging her to do more in the vineyard of God.
