Senior Apostle John Adedigba of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Gombe No.2, on Saturday led a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Gombe state chapter, on a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of the state, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya.
Adedigba who is the General Secretary of the association represented the state chairman, Reverend Sunday Congo, on a visit initiated to mark the beginning of a new year.
In a speech delivered on behalf of his principal, Adedigba appreciated the governor for his efforts in maintaining peace and orderliness in the State.
He also commended him for always putting the needs of Christians in the state at heart.
The association however presented a request of 150 million naira for the building of CAN guest chalets in the state.
On his part, Governor Inuwa Yahaya appreciated the Christian body for the visit.
He equally applauded Christians in the State for being law abiding and for the prayers rendered on behalf of the State government.
In response to their request, the governor pledged a sum of twenty five million naira for the guest chalets project and ten million naira for transportation.
He added that he would give the body 70 slots to Jerusalem so as to further boost the cordial relationship among indigenes and non indigenes in the state.
Among groups present at the occasion were the Boys Brigade Nigeria, Fadawan Isa, Women Choir and CAN Choir.
The event rounded off with a closing prayer from Rev. Fr. Sylvester Jalo and a vote of thanks from Rev. J.R Mangai.
