Seraphs Who Gained Prominence in 2019 with Outstanding Feats

Just like their contemporaries, they set out in the beginning of the year 2019 with some certain resolutions in a bid to keep up with their aspirations in life. But this was not without a dint of hardwork, consistency and heart of service. The aforementioned qualities however set them on the pathway to achieving some unprecedented feats that would later earn them accolades, prominence and corresponding rewards. Meanwhile, as seraphs, not only did they make the Cherubim and Seraphim church proud, they equally inspired seraphs and non seraphs to taking a cue from them. Acts of Seraphs on this note list seraphs who gained prominence having recorded distinguishing feats in the year 2019.

SERAPH AKINTOLA MODUPE

Seraph Esther Akintola Modupe, a member of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church Unification, The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro Campus Fellowship became a toast of her graduating colleagues when the Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state gave her an automatic appointment.

This followed her feat as the overall best graduating student at the school’s 2019 convocation.

The seraph graduated with a cumulative average grade of 3.90 out of the maximum 4.0.

The governor who made the announcement at the 40th Founder’s Day and 19th convocation ceremony of the institution, in Ilaro said the employment would take effect after the completion of the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme by Akintola.

Seraph Esther’s distinguishing feat drew applause and commendations from across board.

SERAPH CELESTINE KALU

For Seraph Celestine Kalu, Divisional Police Officer of the Ogudu Police Station in Lagos state, saving the life of a robbery victim may have just been part of her usual routine of kind gestures. But the gesture soon paid off when such act drew widespread commendations.

The victim, Friday Ajabor, was on September 19, around 8pm, waylaid by a two-man gang who disposed him of his valuables and shot him in the abdomen.

Policemen from Ogudu Police Station, led by officer Kalu arrived at the scene and rushed the victim to two hospitals where he was rejected.

The victim was reportedly admitted in the Intensive Care Unit of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital in Ikeja, where he underwent surgery, the cost of which was paid by the DPO.

This drew the attention of the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwoolu who invited her to his office.

Sanwo-Olu, who stated that the officer’s act caught his attention after going viral on social media, noted that she went beyond the limit of her official duty to save the life of the robbery victim.

Amazed by her rare act of kindness, the governor said she went beyond the official call of duty to save the life of a citizen using her personal resources.

Kalu was presented with a plaque bearing the official seal of the Lagos State Government.

SERAPH TUNMISE ADEYEMI

As the youngest in this category of distinguished seraphs, Seraph Tunmise Adeyemi, wowed everyone at 94th anniversary of the Cherubim and Seraphim church which held at Seraphim Land, as she recited Psalm 119 before the large congregation.

Psalm 119 has the longest chapter in the whole of the holy bible with 173 verses.

It is understood that Tunmise had been reciting the portion of the scripture when she was much younger, just as she had done so at different Christian fora. But seraphim land was the big stage that earned her prominence.

What commanded a rapt attention also attracted a round of applauds, intermittently, as she recites on.

Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi who was marvelled at what appears very rare, soon walked up to the podium where she recited the Psalm, as she cuddled her arms around her.

She thereafter declared her intention to place her on a scholarship.

Encomium showered on her also came with cash gift from the Supreme Head, His Eminence Prophet (Dr) Solomon Adegboyega Alao JPil. The legal adviser of the church equally gifted her with a sum 100,000 naira.

Tunmise is the daughter of the Chief PRO of the C&S unification church, Supt. Apostle Muyiwa Adeyemi JP.

SERAPH ADEBIYI ABIOLA

For Seraph Adebiyi Abiola of Varsity Grammar School, Ijebu Ode, Ogun state, teaching for him was not just a form of profession, but such that he indeed has passion for. The reward for his passion thus earned him a national honour, as he was declared the best teacher in the country.

He was honoured by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Technology through its President’s Teachers and Schools Excellence Award.

Being a way of recognising and rewarding teachers who have performed diligently in the teaching profession, the 2019 edition which held at Eagle Square, Abuja, considered Seraph Adebiyi as having stood out in the private school category.

Abiola who is a member of C&S Christ The Corner Stone, Ijebu Ode, was equally rewarded with a brand new Hyundai Saloon car.

Adebiyi is the current chairman of Ijebu Ode division of C&S Unification church of Nigeria.

SERAPH CLEM AGBA

Seraph Clem Agba is the current Minister of State for Budget and National Planning.

His status as one of the cabinet members of President Muhammadu Buhari is, without doubt, a plus to the Cherubim and Seraphim church.

Though, not much was heard of him prior to his appointment, but Agba is now a source of inspiration to many seraphs that there is no limit to the heights they can attain.

By the virtue of his office, he is to contribute to providing policy advice to the President in particular and Nigeria in general on all spheres of national life; and as such set national priorities and goals and engender consensus among Government agencies.

We pray for greater feats for every Seraph come 2020.
