“Spirituality is Abnormality to Carnality”……..Oduyoye Emmanuel Adebayo
I was in a gathering, one special morning discussing about issues of life; when a particular person raised a question that “MUST EVERYTHING BE SPIRITUALITY?” This really baffles my mind and Spirit; it keeps on coming to me.
Do you know something, let’s peep into why Spirituality is very germane in this spiritual world?
Right from the creation of the Heaven and Earth, many things occurred: not just a thing but spiritual things. One aspect of that is: GOD giving enablement to all that were created by speaking the WORD with Authority and Power, calling animate and inanimate things as though they were.
Whatever thing that has the backup of a spirit or god is spiritual: but the opposite of spirituality is carnality or being natural (1st Corinthian 3:1 KJV).
God is the backup entity behind the creation of heaven and earth; because all power belongs to him alone; that is nothing is created without his knowledge. We can see that everything in heaven and in earth is spiritually discerned and created. Don’t forget that Jesus said “It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the word that I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life” (JOHN 6:63) KJV: that is every word and act of Jesus was GOD’S dispensation (JOHN 14:10-11 KJV). The Spirit created everything; so everything must be spiritually handled, the flesh profiteth not; only the Spirit can handle the spiritual things.
Humans cannot fathom the secret or mystery behind the creation; except we are obedience to his spiritual movement or strategies i.e. using the manual (BIBLE/SCRIPTURE) and the Spiritual Man or Person (HOLYGHOST).
Ecclesiastes 3:11(KJV) says: “ he hath made everything beautiful in his time; also he hath set the world(ETERNITY) in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that GOD maketh from the beginning to the end; everything needed must be referenced or subjected to spirituality; irrespective of how little it is: God hide something;
But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1st Corinthians 2:10-14 KJV)
Humans believes that spirituality should be limited to some aspect and not all; and the reasons for this ideal or views is because they still don’t accept or believed that there is a Spirit behind everything in this world. Oh they don’t know that there is Spirit of Excellence, Failure, Anger, Joy, Freedom, Oppression, Death, Life, Disobedience (Ephesians 2:2), Obedience, Downfall (ZECHARIAH 1: 18-21), Lifting up etc. We will keep on struggling with something’s like Exams, Promotion, Opportunity, Prosperity, Success, etc. if we take Holy Ghost or Spirituality out of the Equations.
Furthermore, we believers tends to claim spirituality, while in most of our time, decision, we limit God to some part of our life; Christians help God where God doesn’t need their help. Examples: In an exam hall, we ask for answers, help from our colleagues when the rules is don’t chat or talk in an exam hall; we even go into various mal-practice which is against God’s Will and Man’s will, we tend to forget that Holy Spirit can help us by reminding us of what was read and inspire us of what we knoweth not (Job 32:8). So we think we help ourselves to pass not knowing that we helped ourselves to fail through the help of the flesh. Believers keep on finding their selves in failures, problems, and issues; due to not following the spiritual and kingdom principles set down by God.
Christianity permits Musical world, fashion, Entertainment, Politics etc. but do not go outside the boundary which is Spirituality. Jesus said, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (MARK16:15). Do everything in the context of God involvement. God must be involve in your family, studies, jokes, gathering, and lifestyle and in your participation.
Also in another context, Spirituality involves Two entity: Spirit of Truth and spirit of error; know whom you stand for and follow. Errors comes as outcome of man’s decisions and following your ideal or knowledge is like giving audience to the appetite of the flesh;” flesh profiteth not”
Do not help yourself; let God teach you on how you can help yourself and let God himself help you.(John 16:13). The outcome of the Spirit of Truth is VALIDITY.

The devil; who is the spirit of error can find any means to contaminate God’s plan and words in your life. Just put everything in the hands of God.
In other word, Spirituality (GOD) should be the beginning and end of everything In this world; don’t get yourself involve in anything outside God. The Spirituality we have as Christians or believers is God the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost.
Always see the Holy Spirit as a person, and pay more attention to HIM than MAN….Always say Good morning to Him, Let do those things together, what is your view about that, what are the plan of God for me? Good night Holy Ghost. Have intimacy with the Holy Ghost.
