Recently i have been trying a lot of things, gaining new skills, learning new ideas and doing everything possible to make my CV much more better hoping to get answered prayers.

The situation of things makes me feel dismayed, it more or less seems like I am disadvantaged, nothing has been working right plus this economic meltdown has made matters worse.

There are less or no giveaway cash gifts from family and friends. The son of man has to just survive through. This was me telling a very close pal of mine all about my predicament as if I was the only one with difficulties in the world.

While I was busy ranting and complaining bitterly, my friend made reference to the case of popular street footballer Victor Osimhen who grew up in a slum, lived among the dumpsites and hawked tirelessly on Lagos roads to survive. This is not the first time i will be hearing stories of people who went through pain before making it in life.

I sometimes wonder why does God allow oppression, strife and hunger. Why do we have to hope and hope and sometimes we will be told that the prayers have been answered but we still have to wait for result? Sometimes it is not evident to us what is going on, especially if we are thrown into suffering for a period of time or if it seems our enemies are prospering while we are just barely getting by.

Habakkuk 2:2-3 affirms that “Then the Lord replied: Write down the vision and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the visions waits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and not delay.”
Not the present vision but our dreams, admirations and good desires.
They will surely come to pass.
