The Eternal Bans “unwanted practices” by church members

The Hotonu Conference of The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim says certain practices within the church have been prohibited, including the celebration of ark of covenant by members.

In a memo sent to ACTS OF SERAPHS on Saturday and signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Conference, Senior Superintendent Apostle Muyiwa Adeyemi, it was revealed that the decision was part of the resolutions passed by delegates at the 2024 mid-year conference hosted by the Lagos East Territorial Conference.

Parts of the practices banned by the conference include Holy Mary anniversary, spiritual ascension popularly known as “Ori Oke Majemu”, and the celebration of Founder’s Day.

Elder Adeyemi explained that the decisions were made because it was observed that some member churches were still celebrating the Ark of Covenant which, according to him, was not part of the legacies of the Founder of the C & S Worldwide, St. Moses Orimolade Tunolase.

Regarding the Holy Mary Day anniversary, the statement clarified that it was not part of The Eternal doctrine but was smuggled into the fold.

Furthermore, the conference declared that the celebration of Founder’s Day was outlawed as St. Moses Orimolade Tunolase was the sole founder of the church.

On the spiritual ascension, the statement noted that what ought to be a personal and regular spiritual exercise for Prophets and Prophetesses had become a jamboree for money making.

The conference however vowed to take strict action in enforcing the resolutions and sanction violators.

The Executive Committee of the Hotonu Conference of The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim, has reiterated its commitment to effect resolutions passed by the delegates at the 2024 mid-year conference hosted by Lagos East Territorial Conference, stopping the carrying of ark of covenant (apoti eri), celebration of Holy Mary anniversary (ajodun Holy Mary) and “spiritual ascension” (ori oke majemu).

Besides, celebration of Founder’s Day has been outlawed as St Moses Orimolade Tunolase is the only Founder of the church.

To ensure strict compliance, Supt. General Apostles, Territorial and District heads of any church that violated these resolutions will be sanctioned.

At the Executive meeting held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 it was discovered that some churches are still celebrating ark of covenant, which was not part of the legacies of the Founder of the C & S Worldwide, Baba Orimolade. Any form of bloodletting is considered as satanic, devilish and not part of The Eternal doctrine.

The celebration of Holy Mary anniversary is also emphasized and prohibited because it is not part of The Eternal doctrine but was smuggled in from other sects and should be stopped immediately by all Hotonu branches involved in the act.

A statement signed by the PRO, Hotonu Conference, Snr Supt. Apostle M. O. Adeyemi, also noted that what ought to be a personal and regular spiritual exercise for Prophets/Prophetess has become a jamboree for money making. That any Seraph, either Prophet/Prophetess or Pastor, Evangelist or Apostle goes on solitary confinement, fasting and praying for some days or months does not call for a celebration or printing of envelopes or trending on social media. It is a personal decision or covenant between him/her and should remain so.

Besides, celebration of the Founder’s Day has been considered absurd and disrespectful to St Moses Orimolade Tunolase. Celebrating a day when a local branch was established can simply be tagged, “Church Anniversary,” just as acknowledging Minister-in-charge as Founder, as being noticed in invitation cards and banners should stop forthwith.

Hotonu Conference Exco also enjoined all Ministers-in-charge, district and territorial heads and all Supt. General Apostles to ensure strict compliance because it is their sacred duty and responsibility to represent and implement decisions of the Conference within their area.

The Exco also urged all Ministers-in-charge to implement some welfare programs to cushion effects of economic hardship threatening survival of many Nigerians and continue to pray for this country and our leaders to remember masses in their policies.
