Tofunmi Ogunseye sets sight on music career with “Deliver Us”

It is always a life-defining moment when one sets out on the path of self-discovery and unlocks hidden potential.

For six-year-old singer, Tofunmi Ogunseye, unlocking such potential at a young age is what makes all the difference.

The young Seraph, who has been making waves with her debut single “Deliver Us”, expressed gladness to have discovered her passion for music early in life.

The song which is currently on music streaming platforms speaks about the potency of the name of Jesus Christ.

Deliver Us has likewise earned the endorsement of popular Nigerian gospel artists and comedians which include, Yinka Alaseyori, Bidemi Olaoba, EmmaohmaGod, Kenny Blaq and Seyi Law.

Speaking about what inspired the song, Tofunmi said, “My Christian background inspired me to express the supremacy of God to deliver us from all our troubles.

My message to all listeners is that they should believe in God and trust Him in all things.”

While explaining how her music journey started, she said, “I got inspired into singing from the prayer in the house and the devotion that we do, as well as the singing process in school with my neighbours.”

She also expressed gratitude to her parents whom she claimed allowed her to express herself through music.

“My parents encourage my siblings and I to exhibit our talents. My siblings were also a big support to me in making the song, ‘Deliver Us’, a reality,” she added.

Meanwhile, beyond passion, Tofunmi who started singing at the age of four years sees her foray into music as a way of preaching the gospel, saying, “I want it to make people turn back to God and change from their evil ways. I want things to be better and good from now on as I sing.”

“I would also like to use this opportunity to tell my fans, especially children, to be focused on their areas of positive interest and believe in themselves. If they do that, they can achieve anything,” she added.

The music video is set to be released in no distant time.
