Chairperson of the Good Women Congress, Lagos State chapter, Snr Rev. Apostolic Mother (Dr) Dorcas Ogundeji (JP) says plans are in top gear to commence empowerment programmes for members in the state.
She made this known in a chat with Acts of Seraphs in commemoration of the annual International Women’s Day which was observed on Sunday, March 8, 2020.
She said this became imperative following the newly built Women Empowerment Center at Seraphim Land, Maba, Ogun state.
The center was built and commissioned by Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi with the aim of encouraging and accommodating women related initiatives.
Mother Ogundeji further revealed that the empowerment programme which cuts across different entrepreneurship skills was geared towards assisting women in the area of financial elevation and self sustenance.
She also implored those who wish to be part of the programme, including female youths to indicate their interest by reaching out to the leadership of the body.
She, however, commended women in the fold for not relenting on setting the church on the path of revival.
She said most members of the good women both at the state and local level had demonstrated this in their respective capacities in the church. She added that such disposition was as a result of what forms the basis of their activities as Good Women band.
She, therefore, urged the women to remain good ambassadors in the church, their work place as well as the home front. She added that their communication at every point in time should be edifying.
