The Seraph Builders has explained why the winner of the second edition of Next Big Seraph, Heirs of God Crew had yet to embark on their all-expense paid trip to Dubai.
It will be recalled that the trip was announced as a complimentary to their winning prize of 500, 000 naira at the competition held last year.
Speaking at the finals of the third edition held in Lagos last weekend, the project coordinator, Seraph Grace Adegboyega said the trip was delayed due to the visa ban placed on Nigerian nationals by the United Arab Emirates government.
She said, “I wish to inform you that the visa ban placed on immigrants from Nigeria into Dubai is the reason why the trip winners of The Next Big Seraph 2.0 trip were delayed.”
After years of diplomatic row, the UAE on October 2022 imposed a visa ban on Nigerian immigrants.
However, there were indications of a possible lifting of the ban following a meeting held between the leaders of both countries recently.
Seraph Adegboyega who recognised the presence of the crew at the Saturday event, noted that the platform would fulfil its promise as soon as the ban was lifted.
“I am glad to announce that the winners are also seated here. Once the ban is lifted, they will go on their all-expense-paid trip by God’s grace,” she assured.
The heirs of God’s crew comprise Seraph Samuel Awoboye, Seraph Esther Ojo and Seraph Mary Obajeun.
