Why we want to pray for Nigeria – Campus fellowship intercessory unit reveals

The Intercessory Unit of the Cherubim and Seraphim church, Unification campus fellowship, has revealed why it decided to hold a special prayer for Nigeria.

The programme tagged “Prayer for the nation” has enjoyed generous broadcast on various social media platforms in the past couple of days.

Meanwhile, the secretary of the ministry, Brother Shittu Gabriel, in a chat with Acts Of Seraphs said the spiritual exercise became paramount at a time like this when the country is set to witness a new set of leadership.

It is yet another electioneering period as electorates are set to go to the polls in few weeks time to elect candidates of their choice. This, notwithstanding, the intrigues, tension and seeming upheavals that characterizes such period.

But Shittu said the ministry, having considered this, decided to pray since its sole aim is to intercede.

He also disclosed that the programme which is slated for January 18th, 21st and 1st of February will hold in Osun, Ogun and Lagos states respectively.

He said that the ministry would also collaborate with C&S Churches around the area where the programme will hold.

Asked if the exercise was the first of its kind, Shittu said that the ministry has always interceded for Seraphs, Christian communities and the nation at large, but this was planned in a grand style due to its peculiar nature.

On how the platform had fared so far, he said, “God has been faithful it was officially recognized by the Church year 2015. It is a platform that brings intercessors together from all campus fellowship in Nigeria and other countries to Pray and our prayer meetings holds third Friday of every month”.

“The ministry was formed by Elder Brother Kolawole Makanjuola with early birds members Elder Sister Are Abiodun, Elder Sister Fajemirokun Motilayo, Elder Brother Jesse Falodun, myself just to mention but few, Shittu added.
