Reverend Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi of The Love Of Christ Generation Church, London, has given her voice to the ongoing xenophobic attacks in South Africa.
Foreigners, most of which are Nigerians, Zambians and Tanzanians have been under severe attacks in some parts of the country.
The ruthless attacks which are being carried out by South Africans have drawn widespread condemnations.
But Mother Esther Ajayi who spoke recently at the United Nations High Level Roundtable on ”Turning sword into ploughshares in the quest to reduce violence globally” which held in New York on Friday says the need for peaceful coexistence and proper education at the grassroots level is highly needed at such a time as this.
She spoke extensively on the two factors especially in the wake of the attack, as well as its attendant reprisals in the countries of the affected foreigners.
While describing the attacks as worrisome, she highlighted the two factors as being the required antidotes to forestalling reoccurrence.
She noted that constant preaching of peace while also exploring education in the process of socialization, as initiated by mothers, would make all the difference.
The renowned evangelist who is also the principal of The Esther Ajayi Foundation equally talked passionately about her Foundation investment in education with sponsored full scholarship of 10 students into private University, building of the Moses Orimolade University (MOU) with the cost of 28 million dollars.
