As part of activities heralding her 40th anniversary and international convention slated for 27th April through 3rd May, 2020, the leadership of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Institution of Higher Learning (Isokan) on Sunday decorated some past leaders of the campus fellowship at the Central Executive Council as Grand Ambassadors.
The investiture which was laced with award presentation held at the Youth Chapel of C&S Ayo ni o, Surulere District.
On hand to present the award and officiate the investiture was the current CEC chairman, Pastor Joseph Arigbangba, who was joined by members of the anniversary planning committee led by Pastor Segun Adewunmi.
According to the fellowship stalwarts, the award recipients were considered worthy of the honour following their commitment to making a lasting impact in the achievement of the church goals.
In his words, the committee chairman, Pastor Segun Adewunmi described the move as strategic, intentional and deliberate. He stated that the committee decided to hold the investiture at the church venue following its status as a hub for the fellowship’s graduate and student members.
He added that the investiture places a responsibility on them in assisting the committee to harnessing and mobilizing all resources geared towards a successful celebration.
Speaking in the same vein, Apostle Joseph Arigbangba said the newly decorated grand ambassadors deserved the honour in respect of their efforts to have salvaged the fellowship at a point it was almost going into extinction.
The former Apostolates on the roll call of honour include: Most Senior Apostle Prophet Oluseyi Coker, Senior Apostle Kehinde Showemimo, Evangelist Duro Soetan and Pastor Olajide Atansuyi.
Although, the duo of Pastor Atansuyi and Apostle Kehinde Showemimo were unavoidably absent, they were represented by their wives who were decorated and also received the awards on their behalf.
Preceding the investiture was a media parley held at the Deputy Sherperd office of the youth chapel where the CEC chairman led journalists into the historical background of the fellowship and how it had fared hitherto its 40th year.
Arigbangba who was flanked by members of the committee also gave an insight into what was expected to play out prior to the anniversary, which formed the basis of the investiture.
While speaking on the goals and achievements of the fellowship in the last forty years, the CEC chairman said the church in all ramifications has been a model for success.
He added that efforts to maintain the unifying strength of the church had made it grown in leaps and bounds, even beyond the shores of the country.
He also disclosed that the church had produced graduate members who are doing well in their respective careers.
On the plans of the fellowship to establish more chapters across the country, he said efforts are underway to make inroads into the South-East and South-South.
He however enjoined both members and graduate members of the campus fellowship to do all within their capacity in contributing to the success of the event.
Pastor Segun Adewunmi on his part says no fewer than 10,000 attendees are expected to grace the occasion.
He also affirmed that miracles and other good tidings such as healing, breakthrough and salvation of souls will abound in the course of the programme.
