C&S Unification Confirms Passing Of Supreme Head, Baba Aladura Alogbo

The Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria has confirmed the death of its Supreme Head and Spiritual Father, His Eminence Prophet Dr. Emmanuel Abiodun Adewale Alogbo, who joined the saints triumphant at the age of 93.

The church announced in a statement on Thursday that the revered cleric died in the early hours of July 30, 2026.

His death was confirmed by the Secretary-General of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, Snr. Apostle Tayo Ajose, and the church’s Public Relations Officer, Pastor Omololu Olubode.

According to the statement, Alogbo died peacefully on Thursday at the age of 93.

Until his death, he served as the Supreme Head and Spiritual Father of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria. He also doubled as the Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O.

Baba Alogbo was formally installed as the Supreme Head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria on September 20, 2025.

The church prayed for the repose of his soul and said details of his funeral arrangements would be communicated in due course.

The confirmation came hours after the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, issued a circular signed by its Secretary-General, Snr. Sp. Ap. Prophet Dr. Anthony Olusesan Samaye, informing members worldwide of the passing of its Spiritual Father and Chairman.

The circular stated that Alogbo died at about 2:10 a.m. at his residence in Ijaiye Ojokoro, Lagos, surrounded by members of his family and domestic staff.

It read in part, “With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire church, I write to inform you all that our Spiritual Father, His Most Eminence, Prophet (Dr.) Emmanuel Adewale Abiodun Alogbo, was called to glory in the early hours of today, July 30, 2026, at around 2:10 a.m.

“He was surrounded by his family members and all his domestic staff while he passed on to glory peacefully at his residence.”

The church said prayers would be held daily for seven days from 5 p.m. at the late cleric’s residence at Plot 1, Alogbo Close, off Ahmadiyya Bus Stop, Ijaiye Ojokoro, Lagos, while burial arrangements would be announced later.
