History was made on the 18th of January 2019 as Seraphs across the country trooped into the town of Omu-Aran, Kwara State, to partake in the Passionate Night Of Breakthrough programme which held at the permanent site of Moses Orimolade University.
The vigil which was put together by The Youth Fellowship of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church and the Planning and Implementation Committee of the university has come and gone but it will sure continue to linger in the memory of the attendees.
The Acts Of Seraphs hereby highlights seven takeaways from the historic vigil which was convened by the founder of Love of Christ Generation Church, Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi.
(1) THE GRAND ENTRY
Expectant residents of Omu-Aran indeed had much to feed their eyes when the buses conveying Seraphs who had come to attend the Passionate Night Of Breakthrough began to move into their town in droves. No fewer than 40 buses made their way into the sleepy town on Thursday evening. With a striking and enthralling strength in the landscape, Omu Aran is typical of a setting unstripped of rural simplicity. It was also a sight of early morning mist patches to behold on Friday. This was occasioned by the vestiges of harmattan that still abound in the area. These were, however, complemented by the humane gestures of the residents who threw their arms open at advances made towards them for one assistance or the other. Meanwhile, the traffic of human movement soon increased following the influx of Seraphs into the town.
(2) BOOST IN ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES
With the growing presence of Seraphs, the town bustled with life while economic activities received a boost just within the period the programme lasted. The stretch of the road from the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Omu Aran District Headquarters, towards the junction of the road linking the university axis saw an increase in the movement of motorcycles and buses conveying their visitors from one location to another. In what may probably have been witnessed in a long time, the motorcyclists could be seen with countenance that suggests the certainty of a swell in their profit margin before the close of work. As observed by the Acts Of Seraphs, the massive turnout of Seraphs for the programme must have as well taken some of the traders in the town unawares as demand at some point exceeded supply.
(3) SERAPH LEADERS SHOW FULL SUPPORT
A sizeable number of leaders of constituent churches in the fold registered their presence at the programme. The university project was no doubt the unifying factor that engendered such impressive turnout. While some had arrived on Thursday, others turned up at intervals on Friday ahead of the vigil. Their first meeting which kick-started the programme formally was a special service held at the Omu Aran headquaters of CSMC in honour of Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi. The leaders of the church and constituent churches extolled her virtues for her unwavering commitment towards the growth of the fold.
(4) A VISIT TO THE PALACE
The visit to the palace of Olomu of Omu Aran, Oba Abdulrahman Adeoti, which followed the special service marked the point where other activities preceding the vigil were set in motion. While exiting the CSMC premises, the church leaders, Rev Mother Esther Ajayi, her entourage and the building committee team in a convoy-like movement snailed through the stretch of the road leading to the monarch’s palace. The expectant king who received them was overwhelmed, just as he could not hold back his joy of witnessing such massive presence of seraphs in his domain. Esther Ajayi would later commend what she described as unusual of the Chiefs-in-Council of the palace as they could be seen donning similar attires. The appraisal by Oba Adeoti was however an indication that the town will always be ready to accommodate whatever is being put forward in the name of the university.
(5) BEYOND THE MASSIVE TURNOUT
One may have ordinarily thought that the synergy between the Youth Fellowship and the Building Committee in putting up the programme coupled with its sheer coincidence with the first quarterly vigil of the year; not leaving out the provision of free transportation were factors solely responsible for the large turnout of seraphs at the programme. But save for the aforementioned which, no doubt, contributed immensely, what could be seen on MOU ground during the vigil evidently portrays the revival of an unprecedented dimension that is currently taking place in the fold. It further depicts the single direction every seraph’s commitment towards the uplift of the fold now tilts. Their leanings regardless, seraphs from constituent churches relate with each other as they revel in their mutual heritage which is the university.
(6) LIONS OF SERAPHS UP TO THE TASK
Obviously fueled by its determination to leave no stone unturned when it comes to proper coordination cum security checks, Lions of Seraphs – a security arm of the youth fellowship indeed lived up to expectations throughout the programme. There is no doubting the fact that it was an herculean task controlling a crowd of about 40,000 people, but how they managed to contain the excesses that emanated from such task is not unconnected to their expedient approach and preparedness. So much that activity does not in any way amounts to productivity; the Lions of Seraphs diligently combines both. Nothing more could explain the level of commitment of the security arm which, having ensured that all buses depart from their respective points in Lagos as jointly monitored by the state chairman, Bro Muyiwa Odedina, considered it a proper time to embark on their own journey which saw them arrive Omu Aran in the dead of the night.
(7) THE UNIVERSITY
Aside the spiritual benefits of the vigil which many were in expectant of, another important thing seraphs who were in attendance had envisaged and, as such, held dearly was not to miss a sight of the current look of Moses Orimolade University. Being a structure that had only existed in their imagination, joy and happiness were written all over their faces as they behold the new development that had taken place on the site. To corroborate this, however, was the remark of the head of the Planning and Implementation Committee, Professor Adebayo Sanni, as he disclosed that the license of the university would be obtained before the end of this year. An assurance he credited to Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi.
I like this day 18-01-2019, I will not forget it in my life.
It was indeed historic.
Glory to God for the success.
